Read the LFC statement, they would have representatives there and confirm it was a ban based on one word against another.

Going by that statement, this is going to get very messy. I was talking to NokkonWud the other day and said I expect this to go all the way to the courts if Suarez isn't cleared.

I believe the difference with the Terry case was that it was a member of the public that reported him to the police for saying what he said within ear shot of a child.

Seems like a daft decision to me, to base it purely on one word against another, and 8 seems excessive to me. Hell I've seen players hit the ref and do vicious physical tackles on players and get less of a ban than that. Sticks and stones and names will never hurt me eh.

You're a United fan so have ya blinkers on.

What I am saying is it seems very odd that the FA try and keep the game respectable but when they want/need a player to have a ban uplifted so their own personal satisfaction, they go to long lengths to get it sorted.

Overaction or not, it was still unnessecary as was the Suarez situation. Can't excuse what Rooney did purely on a overaction, he knew what he was doing as did Suarez if true.

What I will say is evra is also a PITA to for screaming at the ref "You are only booking me because I am black"and he should recive a ban for that because it goes both ways

Either way, if he's racist he deserves it. There must have been a little more than just Evra's word, surely.

LFC had representation at the trial, i find it hard to believe they would tell porkies in a public statement.

If he called him a "Negrito", which I think he admitted, realised that this riled Evra and then continued calling him "Negrito" then he deserves the ban. Lets hope Terry is banned for the season
