Subway - Bacon-less rant!

Im ranting only because im now gagging for a good subway melt or recently the new breakfast range!

I wish they could limit the amount of Halal Subway franchises that open as out of the 7 in my end of Bradford and the centre of town only 2 do non halal and there both miles away from me compared to the rest!

Now this rant is both pointless and pathetic but around these parts its near impossible to get any sort of take out food with bacon in apart from McDonald's!

Instead of making what used to be a less than 1 return mile trip to get bacon in my subs or on my KFC burgers i now have to do an 8 mile round trip! :mad:

Now someone bring me some bacon!!

So you can't order bacon in a halal subway?

Surely if you're a Muslim you'd just ask for a melt without bacon?

Haha that's ridiculous. Why should we even provide those stores is it too difficult for them just to not have bacon on a sandwich?

I'm going to hop onto this bandwagon - I live in East London - before I go to a Pizza Hut, I have to check whether it is Halal before I go, otherwise when I order a Meat Feast, instead of :

Spicy pork sausage, ham slices, pepperoni, spicy minced beef.

I am given:

Sliced ham (turkey?), pepperoni (turkey?), beef and chicken breast.

My problem is NOT to do with the fact it is Halal, just that a chain restaurant can sell the SAME ITEN (Meat Feast) in two different shops, that have different toppings.

I would ask for it to be renamed to a "Halal Meat Feast" (or an "All you can Eid"). Whilst the regular Meat Feast maintains the name.

Nope Im sure halal regulations state it cannot be stored/transported or prepared/server near non halal foods.

wouldnt think so. ive seen halal served right next to standard food a lot.

its odd especially when halal can be pretty much ignored. the number of times i've seen muslims eating at macdonalds or munching on a bacon sarnie is unreal.

Yea but theres times you want a greasy KFC burger covered in bacon or a subway!

Luckily one of the 2 non halal Bradford stores is close to work, i shall go get my fix!

How do you know they're Muslim, Nutella? Because they're brown?

Any practicing Muslim won't just 'pretty much ignore' Halal.

Move to Wigan, every subway in the area has plenty of bacon.

Pretty sad to see British towns being over run with Muslims and their fear of pigs.

Shouldn't they be integrating with British cultures not the other way around?
