im referring to this part

what is an english restaurant? one that serves english food? which is what fish and chips? pies and chips, etc.

which is basically pub food.

the guy missed the boat completely, if england only had english restaurants hardly anybody would eat out.

all the big franchises are american. i think subway is canadian though.
 
So how do they know what they are eating is def Halal meat. Could I grab a bag of meat and slap a sticker on it and say its HALAL ? Is that enough to convince ??

I bet there are lots of places out there doing this to save money :D

Not technically, a non-halal Subway offers NO choice to a Muslim as they cannot ear anything from that store. Other religions are perfectly capable of eating the food from a halal Subway though, there just won't be any pork products.
 
A lot of Muslims are hypocrites, you can even find them here on the Forums. They will be out drinking, smoking drugs, shagging around, perving at scantily clad women and bragging about it, but point out or question anything negative about their religion and they turn into devout and highly oppressed victims of Western persecution. Lolreligion.

As for Subway, boycott them if you don't agree with their policies.

you can say the same for any religion though.

what about priests who should be abstaining from sex, yet like to shag little boys?

im not muslim btw but the amount of hate towards them is unreal, some of them are good and some are bad, unfortunately you only hear about the bad ones in the media.
 
Subways rubbish regardless so I really don't see an issue... tbh I'm not too bothered about halal restarunts in general they're not hurting anybody by not providing bacon just go elsewhere or even better buy some and make it yourself bacons always more satisfying when you've made it!

You just described the student room in one post, one reason why I try and stay from it as much as possible. It can be handy for some things but there are way too many sensitive people on there.

Well, the British historically have eaten pigs at least, they certainly haven't been avoiding them as a food source.

I'd be annoyed that I couldn't get what I wanted at my local Subway due to religious beliefs, I guess the BMT sub would be out of the question too! However I don't see it changing as it sounds like where you live is majority halal food eating and so any Subway that wants to get custom will have to be halal.
