I wonder how hard it would be for a competitor to buy ads here
You aren’t the only one with complaints. I’ve echoed the same sentiments, but thankfully I use 2x pi-hole at home so I had to actively turn them off to see these trial ads.
What's the benefit of 2 piholes over 1?![]()
Ah ok. TyvmFailover for when you update them
Considering the £10k+ worth of kit I've bought from them over the years, I wouldn't exactly class it as "free". I don't think I'm being unreasonable, I'm giving my feedback (one of the Dons has literally said "All feedback is welcome"), and stating that they will likely lose at least one customer's loyalty through this. Maybe that is unreasonable *shrug*, but thankfully I'm more than welcome to take my money elsewhere.
Unfortunately, I'm sure somewhere they've done the maths and figured that the expected ad revenue is worth losing a couple of customers over, but it's just disappointing that all it ever comes down to is the bottom line.
From the Android Menu home screen, tap Settings.
Tap Wi-Fi on the menu. The screen listing all of the available networks will be shown (it is impossible to set custom DNS for mobile connection).
Long press the network you're connected to, and tap Modify Network.
On some devices, you may need to check the box for Advanced to see further settings. To adjust your Android DNS settings, you will need to switch the IP settings from DHCP to Static.
Change set DNS 1 and DNS 2 values to following:
IPv4
For "Default" servers:
94.140.14.14
94.140.15.15
For "Family protection" servers:
94.140.14.15
94.140.15.16
IPv6
For "Default" servers:
2a10:50c0::ad1:ff
2a10:50c0::ad2:ff
For "Family protection" servers:
2a10:50c0::bad1:ff
2a10:50c0::bad2:ff
+1 againAs said before, if this is to be implemented long term, simply disable the ads for logged in users. Many other sites do this.
I used to go on overclock.net until all the ads started. Bit by bit they got worse.
They don't have a shop so funds have to come from somewhere with them.

Adblock...
But the signatures are worse than the ads on this forum. Look at the 3 above, pointless pictures all over the page![]()
Been there since it's changed? Much difference now.
overclock.net is far better for general PC hardware and overclocking talk/info.
Signatures are the profile pictures of this forum, since the profile pictures arent customisable.
They are essential for keeping track of who is who, especially when people change their forum name... - glares at @Yaayuh! -
Plus you can turn them off in the settings if you're a weirdo.![]()
