Summer Transfer Thread 2018

Was just discussing this in the office, who realistically would go for either considering wages, transfer fees etc.

I would imagine PSG (if they can sort their FFP issues out) would be in the mix and wouldn't be surprised to see either of them be included in a swap deal for Neymar, Man U would be able to afford them but with Bales injury record (hasn't he been unavailable for something like 70% of Reals matches since he joined) and the fact that Ronaldo would be 31 soon and command a astronomical fee plus wages it's money that could be spent better elsewhere, Man City look to be building rather than adding older players.

But as above the cynic in me just thinks Ronaldo is doing his end of season pay rise dance.

Lamps st derby then wonder if harry has given him any transfer tips yet?

Can we expect to see lamps hanging out his range window leavng the training ground every transfer window closure :D

Ronaldo is 33, turns 34 in February. I hope United don't buy Ronaldo or Bale, both would command massive transfer fees and wages and United could spend the money better elsewhere. For the cost of either player United could buy two or three players in areas of the pitch that are in greater need of work.

Is he jesus I thought he was younger than that

You never know there might even be an EPL gk available for Arsenal, might not even be that expensive if you ask Liverpool nicely :)

(after all that's the performance level Arsenal need to aim at)

No way we're getting Oblak despite the rumoured interest, he'd choose Liverpool over us (CL, easily match whatever money we offer).

Bernd Leno is a more realistic option, still young (26) and won't break the bank at around £20mil ish. Leverkusen even signed a replacement this summer.

As poor as Cech has been I don't think replacing him is that important this summer, a DM and another good CB would help a lot more, as will the new coaches. We're not in a position to attract world class players let alone afford them.

Also Marco Silva now confirmed as the new Everton coach.
