Just seen this from someone on the City forums...
"He was in Sarajevo, @home, and now he's off to Manchester..."

As I said it is not unusual for City players to go off on mid week breaks so he could have easily flown out early Saturday afternoon and is on his way back for training tomorrow/Tuesday.

Reading what people are saying on Twitter theres a few even suggesting Reus-Dzeko swap.

The Bild story could well be Kevin de Bruyne to Dortmund :( for 15m apparently.

Laughs @ the rumours that Utd are ready to offer £55m (+ a player) for Bale

Whether he can do something for the team (after this season's performances from all Utd's wide players that isn't in question lol), I cant see SAF/the Glazers offering anywhere near that much for one player however young and promising he looks as a prospective Utd player

I saw it quoted as £55m plus either Young, Nani or Anderson. I'd personally do it as a bog off, have two and you can have the other for free. I'd even throw in Welbeck too.

If Fergie was going to spend that much on one player surely they'd go for Ronaldo? I'm not sure which way I'd go.

Personally I think it all hinges on whether Tottenham get that CL place.

Without a doubt -hmmm does that mean Utd HAVE to lose against Chelsea so that spurs are less likely to get the CL position lol
(more likely the game in hand which is Chelsea-Spurs next week?)

Unfortunately Welbeck is Fergie's love child, so he isn't going anywhere.

(Ronnie isn't going anywhere either, that rumour is purely about re-negotiating the current deal whether Mourinho goes or not)

edit - I cant see SAF getting rid of all three current wide players , even though they have all been equally dreadful. Nani is a given just because of his contract situation (12 months to go come the summer), possibly one other ( as IF Bale does come at the same time as Zaha, we don't need 4 wide players in the squad)

We play two wingers, why do we not need four wide players in the squad?

Ok which would you prefer - 4 wide men, or a decent CM added to the mix:D

Giggs counts as 1/2 a wide man lol

Utd could "afford" to have four wide players if there wasnt so much wasted space in the squad to start with......

Not official but;

Manchester City signed Diego Novaretti, argentinean from Toluca, according to Sky Italy

27 years old so direct replacement for Kolo and Lescott. Won't be on huge wages either meaning more money for other players.

I can understand replacing Toure but what's wrong with Lescott? No one will match his wages at City anyway so unless his contract is up he's unlikely to leave isn't he?

Liverpool being linked to Sporting's CB, Tiago Ilori, again (in a few media outlets). Haven't heard to much about him apart from he is young (21ish) and pacey. Anyone know much more?

Nothing wrong with Lescott but he is nearly into the final year of his contract and he want's/needs to play football, he wants to be back in the England team for the World Cup and he just wont get the game time if he stays.

Mancini has tried to replace him since he joined and with Nastasic it looks like he has finally succeeded in doing so. Factor in his near if not over 100k a week wages and the few million we could get for him it makes sense to sell him now.

This new player isn't a world beater and is coming from the Mexican League so very untested but we must see something in him for him to come in as a backup player. He is apparently good with the ball at his feet, strong and scores a few goals and with his presumably small wages will be a good squad player.

Apparently confirmed today that Alex Pearce will be joining Liverpool in the summer. Strange one, not good enough to replace Carragher.

Yup - most Reading fans have known for a while, it's been a pretty poorly kept secret that Brendan Rodgers wanted him at Liverpool, but supposedly been officially announced today.

So where is Christian Benteke going to go? I can't see him staying at Villa after the season he has had.

Would like to see him at City in place of Dzeko TBH. Really rate the guy, reminds me of a young Drogba at Marseille.

Benteke and Kompany could go out for Belgian waffles together...

can we just take the £55m? you can keep the players.

i'm not sure bale would sign for another pl club tbh i think he fancies madrid but would he want to move away from his folks? not so sure.. i think he's a bit of a mummy's boy. he wouldn't want to be a winger at united so where would he play when you have kagawa and rooney who can play off the striker? he's better than both but i doubt it'd go down well if he pushed both out. unless, of course, rooney's days are numbered.

Not sure how you've come to the conclusion that Bale is better off the striker than Rooney, but then I don't know how you come to your conclusion with 99% of the stuff you come out with so this is nothing new.

The only thing Bale has shown playing centrally is if he gets in the position he can score goals what he hasn't shown though is the ability to find space in between the oppositions midfield and defence and be a playmaker and before you going crying CM that isn't a dig per-say at Bale because even Ronaldo isn't that type of player.

Whoever signs Bale will play him wide simply because the team he goes to will have better central players than him, he plays centrally for Spurs because their strikers are garbage.

You really have no idea what you're talking about do you? lol

Bale is a winger, why would he not want to be a winger at United, or at any other club for that matter?

He's had a few games where he's had to go in the middle for Spurs because the strikers have been useless apart from Defoe. In fact Bale has quite often been forced to go wherever the ball is, even back in his own half, just to get a touch.
