Was just listening to talksport and they mentioned that there is a piece of news coming up that is a bit shocking, but they won't say it until around midnight...

ooh i dunno. it could be this

Following further investigation into comments made by Club Ambassador, Ledley King, on Sky Sports News last Thursday afternoon, we can confirm that we have indeed found something living in the White Hart Lane pitch over the course of the summer.

Source: Tottenham Official Site

Ahead of Saturday’s pre-season friendly with Espanyol, we shall be making a further announcement tomorrow (Wednesday) morning, so please keep an eye on this website to find out more.

At this stage, all we can say is that we are experiencing something of a mini pitch invasion...watch this space!

Suarez has gotten pretty good english in the past few months

He managed to surpass Torres, pretty impressive. Guess his position is pretty weak if he is still having to cry to the press, wind your neck in you ****.

The full article is fantastic and I cannot wait for the reaction of the Liverpool fans in here at some of the things said.

Nothing there we didn't know already.

It's very possible (even probable) that the club asked him to give us another season and we'll let you go next summer. Unfortunately for him we're adamant that the clause in his deal doesn't force us to sell him and going from that interview and the emphasis on the promises Rodgers was supposed to have made, I think he knows the clause doesn't force us to sell either.

i can't believe that suarez has actually said this and it does indeed sound very ......marca

“I gave absolutely everything last season but it was not enough to give us a top-four finish. Now all I want is that Liverpool honour our agreement.

“Last season, we told Liverpool there was interest from a top European club but they told me: ‘we have a new coach, we are going to push for the Champions League’. I spoke with Brendan Rodgers several times and he told me: ‘stay another season, and you have my word, if we don’t make it then I will personally make sure that you can leave’.

if it is true, rodgers is very persuasive and deluded :D

Oh no I'm not saying that anything was new, just that I'm going to enjoy it riling up Purdy :D

Love your sig Purdy. Shall i prepare in advance and PS your sig with arsenal's kit ?

He does sound pretty desperate to leave although he's not too sure if it was a verbal agreement based on the Champions League or in his contract if someone bid £40 million.

I imagine it's a mixture, he probably wanted to use that clause as a guide for what kind of price they'd take for him, which to me seems fairly reasonable, all things considered.

Liverpool have obviously failed to qualify, and Rodgers and the club are refusing to sell him for his 'clause', despite Rodgers giving him his word that he would.

I know Liverpool think £40m is way too low and they should be getting £60m odd, but I don't think that is entirely realistic. I think £40m would be fair all round.

Not that I agree that £40m is a fair price for Suarez but for arguments sake lets say it is. Why should Liverpool be fair when selling their best player to the side they want to displace?

Utd should also sell Rooney to Chelsea for £20million whilst we're all being fair.

Go ahead lad, he won't be going to that hole
He will. i will prepare your new Sig for you tomorrow when i have the time.

Did not know everton where after Suarez?

I agree, were I a Liverpool fan, my main concern would be him really kicking off, Tevez style, then that leaves you £40m down and not having bought any replacements. I think Arsenal and Liverpool will end up agreeing a figure around the £45m mark.

As for whether Liverpool can realistically displace Arsenal, or any of the top 4, remains to be seen. I think Arsenal are a good notch above them.

Rodgers is yet to confirm or deny that.

True, but it's a rather bold accusation at least!

That's not the impression given from that interview at all, he said he can take it to the courts and that the PFA back him(suggesting that the clause is less ambiguous than Liverpool want it to be) and also mentions something people have been ignoring. A contract is NOT the be all and end all, frequently law can be interpreted one way or another, the manager and player had no reason to want a release clause with no release and if I were a betting man on who was most desperate for that clause being misinterpreted in their favour, it would be on Liverpool taking a fairly standard clause and pretending its something else.

We see a lot of this, players being made promises, staying an extra year then getting into fights with their clubs because the guys in charge back out on their promises. This was supposedly the situation with Modric, Bale now, Suarez and many others.

I still find it hilarious that Liverpool want to pretend Suarez was both utterly crucial to their league position, that they were incapable of playing without him and that he is worth more than many other better players... and that his consistently woeful behaviour and yearly 1/4 of a season ban should play no factor in his price.

I hope Arsenal don't get him, but it seems fairly clear whats been going on, it's also patently clear to anyone with the smallest amount of common sense that he isn't worth 50mil +.

Cm, loads of players get essentially begged to stay with promises made about being allowed to go next season. Henry, Vieira, Cesc, RVP to name a few, basically all of them had offers and could have left but publically spoke about having a heart to heart with the boss and staying for one more year, without a whole lot of fight for any of them(particularly the first two), outside of the price Cesc leaving that summer was ridiculously obvious the previous summer.

A rather bold accusation from a guy who bites people, cries about the press and then goes crying to them when his team leaves the country and claims he is the victim over biting someone. Pretty tame for someone like him

So he's going to take Liverpool to court because Rodgers gave him his 'word'? Get rid ASAP before he just flat out refuses to play, which he will, and then sue the balls off of him.

It's quite funny that he's using the press he claims to hate so much to try and get Liverpool to sell him. :D
