Cm, loads of players get essentially begged to stay with promises made about being allowed to go next season.

i agree but i don't think any liverpool fan can have felt they were at a level to compete for top 4 when rodgers took over.

i think we can safely say that even the most die hard liverpool fan would have a hard time accepting him back into the team now. well, for the first 4 games anyway.

Anzhi to be selling off star players.

Some of there star players :
Willian - 30 million euros
Samuel Eto ' O - 22 million euros
Igor Denisov - 16 million euros
Lacina Traore - 16 million euros
Alexander Kokorin - 15 million euros
Lassana Diarra - 14 million euros
Mubarak Bussufa - 14 million euros
Christopher Samba - 11 million euros
Zhusiley - 11 million euros
Yuri Zhirkov - 11 million euros
Vladimir Gabulov - 6.5 million euros
Do you think any premier league teams will go after anyone?

Well Samba came back to the prem league, sucked balls, got 100k a week and left again. That is the problem with most of those guys, massively overpaid.
Eto'o is paid SIGNIFICANTLY more than Messi and Ronaldo he's on 500k a week. There isn't a premier league club that can afford that, nor a club that would even spend 1/2 that on a player his age. I would say almost all of those guys wages will price themselves out of moves anywhere sensible at all. Unless the owner is willing to pay them off to leave.... which means he pays for their wages without actually having them play which is even worse than paying them silly money AND having them play for him.

It's quite funny that he's using the press he claims to hate so much to try and get Liverpool to sell him. :D

Yep and his crying to them seems he is in a pretty weak position otherwise you'd have no reason to do it, unless you get the 'impression' he is somehow in a great position like some other people.

He is a ****ing gob****e, hope he's playing for us till we get CL

It all comes down to what exactly this clause says. Liverpool think it says one thing and he thinks it says another. I guess the Premier League (or whoever) will decide.

...my main concern would be him really kicking off, Tevez style...

He's suspended until the end of the transfer window and it's a world cup year. Throw in his general attitude towards playing and I'm confident that's not going to happen.

Of the 3 big transfer stories this summer (Suarez, Rooney & Bale), there's been more chat about Suarez and what he will or won't do but so far he's the only that's taken part in pre-season and if we believe any part of what he's saying, he's the one that should have the most to feel aggrieved about.

That's exactly how it reads to me. If he was confident about this clause why does he need to give an interview claiming Rodgers promised him he could leave?

Apparently he was the only member of the 1st team squad to not go to Stevie's testimonial dinner (not sure if that's been posted).

If he hadn't been a bell and munched on Ivanovic do folks think we might have 'set him free'?

Lol at the comments in that article - "perhaps Suarez is leaving because Downing is also leaving, Liverpool should do everything they can to hold on to Downing" :D

The written clause is in our favour I think, otherwise he wouldn't be crying go the press. If it goes to the pl or whatever it depends if they take his side, given his history I wouldn't.

That's a shame because I thought Stevie Gee came over really well when asked about him recently, quite respectful.

I'd have called him a ****.

Well Arteta has said recently this:

From the Daily mirror: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...enal-transfers-mikel-arteta-confident-2128204

So that means that just like the year Fabregas left, we ended up buying a couple of rubbish players at the end of the window with the exception of Arteta:p

Im really not liking the sounds of that, waiting till the end of the window to make these big name signings :(...its a disaster waiting to happen in all honesty UNLESS Suarez or some other big name is coming to us and things are happening behind the scenes so to speak.

Also read on some other site that we are giving some Frrench ligue 2 player who is26 yrs old a trial :/...some morrocan midfielder by the name of Alharbi El Jadeyaoui.

http://footylatest.com/arsenal-give-trial-to-unknown-french-ligue-2-midfielder/47407

Ignoring the Suarez thing, I think it's entirely possible some players might put off either our advances or pushing for a move themselves until we've qualified for the CL proper, as we still have to go through the play-offs to get to the group stages.

He's doing it to force the issue primarily, also partly because Rodgers and your owner have commented on it a lot recently for some reason, he probably feels he wants to clear at least a few things up.

That said, he's still wrong to have gone into the detail he did, or even say it at all. He could have just handed in a transfer request.

To be honest I've not been entirely impressed with the whole affair. Rodgers has handled it badly. Suarez has handled it badly. John Henry's Tweet wasn't a great shout either.

So, it sounds like a deal is close for Fellaini to Man Utd.

Can only confirm what @johncrossmirror writes about the Marouane #Fellaini bid. It'll also appear in #HLN, my paper. Deal is close. #MUFC

I hope we get someone else too. :p

Give over

That might be due to the fact they've been asked, not gone crying

It's hardly surprising that to be fair, just highlights who the hypocritical retards are

lol, couldn't have said it better myself... racist, ok, bites people, ok, tries to injure other players, ok, Da Costa spits in other peoples faces and is a digusting human being, Liverpool fans excited about having a "character" maybe join them.... Suarez tries to leave.... Liverpool fans hate that guy.

I'll also add, release clause with a fee at which the club MUST accept the bid... insanely common, release clause in which if the fee is surpassed the club.... has to let the player talk with that club but they don't have to do anything else.... never heard of one before because there is no reason for any player to agree to such a clause.

So Arsenal fans(obviously only because we want him to make our club look like idiots also) are hypocrites because it makes infinitely more sense that Liverpool are the ones "misreading" the release clause..... okay.

Also Rodgers, the owner, every other current and ex Liverpool player ever can comment on Suarez leaving, no problem, Suarez comments on it, Liverpool fans attack Suarez. Also painfully misreading his attempt in the press to defend himself and set the record straight as desperation with no foundation to his claims is as daft as assuming the release clause is as Liverpool claim. It's called trying to force their hand, court cases are, at best, usually fairly lengthy. A court case works in liverpool's favour purely because they could string it out till after the transfer window closes most likely so Suarez has really very little reason to want to go there as his first option.

Rodgers has specifically said there is no court case, him and Suarez are fine, there is no disagreement on the clause and Suarez understands all that kinda crap(or words to that effect), Suarez comes out and says that is all absolutely incorrect, so who is telling the truth. Which "side" of this argument came out firing in the press first with misinformation which by Liverpool fans interpretation would suggest they obviously don't have a leg to stand on?

Liverpool have always known he's a ****, doesn't mean we come out with embarrassing crop like 'He's ruining our beautiful league get him out' then as soon as he's linked such his ****

Give me Costa, let Suarez stay, I'll take a little bit of physical aggro on my team.

Why is Costa a disgusting human being btw?
