Dani Alves made some interesting comments on Fabregas:

Interpret that how you will. Video of Moyes when asked about it yesterday (at the end): http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23598578
Things should become clearer either way tomorrow at least.
Interesting to see Barca go for Luiz of Chelsea, didnt think Chelsea wanted to get rid of him as hes a pretty decent cb...did well for Brazil in the confed cup a mth or so back.
So Suarez is now saying he is going to hand in a transfer request at the end of the week if Liverpool dont let him go?? LOL what a little **** he is...i really really hope he doesnt come to Arsenal, not only is he a **** off field but also on the field and we really dont need a player with his attitude in the team :/.
But no one or Suarez, which would you have?
I think it would help us get into the CL but I still think we need other areas addressing and backing up.
Without him, I still think we can get into 4th but it would another nail bitting first.
CL games coming up...we need signings now
I didnt get that impression from it.![]()
"I'll take legal action you know?"
"Fine, go ahead."
"I mean it. I'm going to do it."
"We heard you. Call your lawyer. Be our guest. You’ll lose."
"This is your last warning. Sell me now or I'm going to see you in court."
"There is no exit clause, Luis. Do what you want."
"I'm going to count to ten now and if you haven't sold me, I'm taking legal action. One... (two week pause)... Two..."
What impression? I only said it was interesting.
Yeah I didnt think it was anything interesting or changes anything. You implied it could be something from nothing.
I seriously think he is going to do a Wenger and sign no one. Risky business following Fergie and playing the same team fergie did last season which won the league...
Following recent reports that we have agreed a £8.6m fee for Étienne Capoue, I feel that it is important to take a look at him in depth in order to be even slightly qualified to make a judgement.
Capoue has recently turned 25 years old, potentially coming into his prime years and primarily plays in a defensive midfield position, although he can operate in a central defensive role also. His arrival could, and probably will signal the end of Tom Huddlestone’s and/or Scott Parker’s Tottenham career.
For £8.6m, we would be getting a player who has played six times for France, scoring one goal in the process. He is a player who has spent his whole career at Toulouse making over 170 appearances for le Téfécé.
In numbers, let’s take a look at how he shapes up with the players he could potentially be replacing.
Capoue Huddlestone Parker
Appearances 34 20 21
Goals scored 7 0 0
Shot accuracy 48% 46% 18%
Chances created 24 22 18
Assists 3 4 1
Pass accuracy 80% 84% 84%
Average pass length 22m 26m 18m
Fouls conceded 59 23 19
Successful take ons 40 3 9
Headers won 114 15 10
Tackles 64 16 40
Have Arsenal signed Suarez, Rooney and Fabregas yet?
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-transfer-news-pfa-chief-2137102"If you are going to have a supposed buy-out clause it should be that, but it is different as it says if there is no qualification for the Champions League and if there is a minimum offer of £40million then the parties will get around the table to discuss things but it does not say the club has to sell.
"It quite clearly states £40million is a minimum offer for discussions, but it becomes really difficult with such clauses."
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/aug/07/luis-suarez-premier-league?CMP=twt_guAny such assurances are legally irrelevant as Premier League contracts contain something called an "entire agreement" clause which excludes, or overrides, all prior verbal agreements. Morally it is a different matter, of course.
I'm not sure the contract extension thing means what that article infers it did.
It could be that Liverpool got a big offer but said to suarez "sign this extension -it's like a loyalty cash bonus for staying with us" .. "we promise to make the cl next year or we will let you leave - but give us another year to try for thr champs cup".
And by doing so they can still demand a high fee as his contract hasn't run down as much so both parties benefitted from the extension without actually intending to stay at anfiekd for the next 3 years.
Yep all to be completed at the very last minute on 2nd sept...11.59pm to be exact
So SSN with their transfer thing they have going on, City are top with £90 odd mill being spent on new players, Spurs in 2nd with just under £50mill spent. Meanwhile Arsenal...not even on the sheet along with Utd.
