Even as a United fan I find it hard not to feel sorry for Liverpool. Suarez has been backed 110% in every single situation he has gotten himself into by Liverpool, and he is treating them with an incredible lack of respect. I thought Rooney was bad, we should think ourselves lucky.

Gordon Taylor: "It does not say the club has to sell. It quite clearly states £40million is a minimum offer for discussions."

Looks like somebody in here was talking **** :D

take the blinkers off and explain how/what we have done wrong here?

Football club in sticking by their best player shocker, Christ its not like anyone stood by Cantona when he assaulted a fan was it, oh wait..

No but they condemned and banned him straight away, costing a league title in the process. They didn't deny any wrong doing and get some t-shirts printed up. The Cantona comparison doesn't hold water at all.

It's the EVERY week thing again though with Suarez.

Personally I hope he ***** off abroad.

Trusting a player who told you he didn't call someone a ****** 10 times is a bit different to witnessing one attempt a kung fu kick on someone in the crowd.

Guardian saying Moyes is preparing a £30m bid for... Fellaini AND Baines...

Hahahahahahaha

I can't wait. :(

How utterly predictable.

I'm not saying you are in the wrong at all. Please show me where I am. Its a bad decision because Suarez is missing the first 6 (i think) games of your season, he doesn't want to stay and something tells me that he won't just shut up and play at his best for the rest of the season.

Again, please learn to read, I haven't said anywhere that you shouldn't back your players but plenty of your supporters call it loyalty when its nothing to do with being loyal. Its self interest nothing more.

This is why I can't be bothered to discuss things with most of the liverpool fans on here. You can't take anyone that that criticises anything your precious clubs does unless you are making that criticism.

Couldn't agree more. Why on earth aren't Liverpool helping Suarez pack his bags and helping him on his way to the club they're trying to displace? Madness!

No your quite right, it would be better to lose him next year for probably less money. Oh, and I'm sure that he will be on his bestest behaviour this season after he has served the rest of his ban and after he has had a nice public falling out with the club. That sounds like a much better scenario. Its not like he was still a nightmare when the club backed him and he was happy at Liverpool.

If you had decided to get rid of him at the start of the window you might have found it easier to get a buyer from abroad.

I still think Arsenal will get Suarez, unless Real Madrid decide to come in, or something. Liverpool know that, ultimately, they are probably best off selling him, he's desperate to leave and doesn't want to be there - rightly or wrongly.

I suspect Suarez believed his clause is a release clause, but in actual fact it isn't. Making it largely worthless. Rodgers has seemingly lied to his face though if he said he'd sell him, obviously they want a 'fair' price, but £40m is hardly a bad price.

It's similar in our case with Rooney, I don't really want us to sell him to Chelsea, but for the right money I can accept it, as long as it's used on other players, I suppose this is the case with us, Liverpool and Spurs as well, will we see it being reinvested, if not, then **** it.
You cant leave it too late to sell either!

The trouble with fellaini is that playing for Everton he can grt away with a certain physicality, he won't playing for you.

Not in Europe at least, no. Perhaps he can improve on that a bit.

I'm not against us getting him, I think he can potentially be a good player if he performs well, I haven't seen much of him in a defensive role but he's clearly very capable in a physical sense, none of our other midfielders are.

The issue is that his best asset is his control of long/high balls, which is not something we're going to be using very often... hopefully.

Him and Baines would improve our team, but not by loads, they aren't really ideal. On the face of things, Luiz Gustavo sounds a much better fit, he's a solid defensive/central midfielder, quick, strong, good passer, all of that stuff. Bayern are just overcrowded. He's off to Wolfsburg by the sound of it as well. :(

I'd rather we spent £60m odd on Fabregas (if we can get him) than spend £40m on Fellaini and Baines.
