then i read this http://www.football-italia.net/38544/lamela-agents-tottenham-talks

The representatives of Roma forward Erik Lamela will speak with Tottenham on Tuesday about a possible move to the Premiership.

The London club are apparently ready to offer as much as €35m to the Italian side to secure the Argentine international’s signature.

Jose Lamela, the youngster’s father, and agent Pablo Sebbag are expected to meet former Roma director general Franco Baldini who now works for Spurs.

Tottenham, report the Corriere dello Sport, are prepared to offer the 21-year-old a four-year deal worth €4m a campaign.

Lamela, a left-sided attacker, joined the Italian outfit in 2011 from River Plate for around €17m.

He has scored 19 goals in 62 League games for the Giallorossi since his arrival – 15 of those came during the last campaign.

Roma sold Pablo Daniel Osvaldo to Southampton for an initial €15.1m fee on Sunday evening.

this is ridiculous. how is any spurs fan supposed to get any work done!

I wouldn't mind Cabaye at Arsenal, though I think we'd be better off buying a right back and a proper winger first.

I wouldn't say no to Cabaye either, I like him - But I think there are other priorities first. If these other rumoured signings come off, then Cabaye on top of that would be nice. But I wouldn't want him before them.

I doubt we'll get Michu. Swansea won't want to sell their star man now the season has started. I'd take Williams and also Sakho from PSG. We desperately need to reinforce the defence. At one point against villa, we had Podolski as left back and Ramsey and centre back. Before that, Sagna as left back. We're so short there, its ridiculous. I still can't fathom why we haven't tried to sign Cesar either.

That match was an absolute mess..

Sakho would be good, wengers type of player too..

I think that williams, sahko and cesear would be great addtions though he really needs a great striker (though giroud is showing some form).

This made me laugh: http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...ead-with-Arsene-Wenger-to-sign-up-Julio-Cesar

Although i would like some of those players at Arsenal (Pogba i think would be great, we need a strong midfielder who can push people around) we are now at the point where the emergency glass has been broken and we're furiosly jabbing the panic button. This is the absolute worst time to do any deals and every other club on the planet can smell the fear and desperation coming off the club to the point we'll be lucky to get Igor Stepanov's 1 legged brother for less than 30 million. Player A's transfer value is 10 million, oh look it's desperate Arsenal, treble it..

If we are seriously interested in Michu, Cabaye, Pogba, Uchida etc etc, why have they waited till now? It's ludicrous. They could have gone right in for them at the beginning of the transfer window when we were ozzing confidence off the back of a respectable end to the season and they could be playing now.

This is last seasons panic buying session all over again.

Let Pogba go and keep Welbeck (though I have noticed the more I slate Welbeck the better he does - happy for this to continue!). Still gives me nightmares.

How good is this Willian chap because he can't get into the Brazil side at the moment by all accounts. The figures bandied about suggest he is bordering on world class.

Very good apparently, but playing in Russia/Ukraine haven't helped him break into the international side. We'll see, but his stats do suggest he is a bit of a machine when it comes to assists.

He made seven appearances for Manyoo... most of them as a substitute. He didn't shine there because he wasn't given a chance, not because he's had to grow a lot to become the player he is now.

Pogba wasn't actually that great that year for the reserves, he didn't get given a chance because he wasn't actually showing what people like to think he was at the time and didn't really make any impact when he was on the pitch, certainly not enough to say 'yep, play him'.

Yeah, he was showing promise, but it wasn't even near the level people like to make out.

I was a Pogba fan, by the way, and do wish we had kept hold of him, but he certainly wasn't bashing at the door as much as people make out, not even as much as Januzaj.

Bale to Real Madrid is on the verge of happening it seems, £93m (yes, pounds). Di Marzio is pretty reliable and seems extremely confident, supported by Spurs going after the likes of Willian.

Does this mean RonaldON! :(

Bale has also been included in Spurs Europa League squad for Thursday, I doubt very much if that means a transfer is on the verge of happening :P
