Why are United being so tight? If Fergie wanted a player they'd get him... or is it more because of Woodward, than Moyes being manager?

It's Woodward, if anybody.

But anyway, there isn't really any harm at going in with an offer and seeing if they take it before just going straight for a release clause, basic negotiation.

It's if they then walk away and don't pay up the extra €6million and say that he was too expensive that it becomes tight, retarded and silly.

It would also match our record transfer fee.

So as i thought Bender going to be given another chance at Arsenal:p. If Wenger is going to give him another shot at the squad then i hope that this time round, he sorts himself out and bangs in some goals for us but im not holding my breath for that happening lol.

3 days left and other than Flamini, no money has been spent so dont know what to think anymore. I live in vain hope that come Monday we will have some more signings but at this this moment and listening to what Wenger is coming out with, i dont expect any quality signings to come through our door.

As for the Real trio ie Benzema, Di Maria and Ozil?? they wont be coming to us, its nothing but a pipe dream for us to bag those 3. Fact is all 3 have said they are not looking to move from a title winning side to a side that will struggle all season and i dont blame them one single bit. There is nothing attractive about Arsenal anymore, we have a manager thats too scared to spend money and take chances and secondly our medical staff dont seem to have a clue on how to treat injuries properly.

Meh so much for that £70mill warchest that we were told we have at our disposal. Finally Wenger cannot seriously come out with the excuse that he couldnt find top quality players when teams around us ie Spurs have signed quite a few quality players now. Its an excuse that doesnt pass anymore tbqh.

You know as a self confessed 'best stiker in the world' I dont think he scored a single goal for Juv last season..

LOL yep i know that, i dont really expect him to set the world alight this season...id be very surprised if he can get fit, play for us and score some goals. But i wouldnt put a single penny on him to do so:p.

Coates and skittles aren't trusted by BR (Coates has been injured for 3 weeks regardless and it's a half a season job) Kelly has played 1 game roughly at cb in 6 odd years and wisdom is 20/21. So we have 2 cb's that the management rely on. We have been linked to the Dutch lad for 2 months at least if he is good enough now (hence our pathetically late bid) he was good enough then.

Overpriced? He has just moved for under 5 million. Sounds like a perfect 3rd choice to me.

I assume you were happy with our dicking around last summer too & we all know how we'll that played out.

Listen to yourself. Rodgers doesn't trust Coates or Skrtel so we should sign Aiderwilde, a player the club scouted and decided wasn't good enough. You just want to sign somebody for the sake of it.

And no, I wasn't happy with last summer. Everybody from Rodgers to the owners ****ed up. Rodgers left himself in a position of Dempsey or nothing and the owners stood firm and left him with nothing. We're not in that position this summer, we have 6 possible CB's. Yes, in an ideal world we'd replace Skrtel and Coates but only if the right player is available (not Aiderwilde as we don't want him) and if we don't have to pay a ridiculous fee on that replacement. We're not desperate, we can afford to hang on until the last minute and even into January if needs be.

And just for everyone that loves to bang the 'MOYES Y U NO PLAY KAGAWA', even his agent says (as a few of us have been saying...) he isn't fit enough and hasn't had the pre season.

“Shinji will currently not be leaving Manchester United,” he said.

“He wants to fight for his place. Because of the Confederations Cup, he did not have a full pre-season and therefore still has a training deficit. That’s why he, until now, has won hardly any playing time.

Couple of general twitter rumours that we bid for De Rossi also but that Roma & the player turned it down.

RE: Kagawa, well he's hardly going to say otherwise is he?

What sense does it make for an agent to come out and say anything about a players fitness, unless he's either - trying to engineer a move (which, he says has already been turned down), or say that a deal definitely isn't on the cards, here's a small explanation to say why he isn't playing?

It's quite simple why he hasn't been starting and I'm not sure why everyone was so mentally outraged at it all when it was obvious.

I like Herrera, if we get Fellaini and Baines too, that would be pretty good.

We better bloody get him for the sake of €6m.

I thought Spanish buyout clauses only applied to Spanish clubs and were a gentlemans agreement, of sorts. I'm sure Baz was on about it and quoted Sid Lowe.

So if we dont want him why did have bid for him at the last minute rejected? ...kind of negates your entire point doesn't it. oh and we could have had Sturridge in time for he season start but BR messed around with just a loan option. That deal should ahve been tied up 6 months before we actually got him.

Edit - Actually not even rejected, the transfer has already been agreed to Atletico. We put in a bid (off the back of Toure's injury), and have been told we're too late.

Unlikely. I assume that he needs a work permit?

Lamela has a spanish passport so no WP needed :)

Hopefully they are registered but tbh I doubt they'd start anyway, AVB tends to take his time with new signings rather than chuck them in the deep end

Bit fed up of the "Arsenal and Real Madrid Trio" rumors. Bet Arsene Wenger puts these rumors out himself haha.

Same here..

In my eyes now is the time to tempt Jose, He has Torres, Lukaku, Eto and Ba, all of them wanting to start and play regularly..

If Wenger can get Ba, that would be a great signing, he has already been linked to Newcastle..

Fellaini and Herrera would certainly improve our quality/depth in midfield. Both attainable by the looks of it too!

It's no Ronaldo, Fabregas and Ozil but I'd be happy with that :D

I seriously doubt United would be bringing in Herrera and Fellaini, otherwise they wouldnt be leaving it this late to try and get Herrera. Presumably he is backup to Fellaini or being used as a pawn to force Everton's hand.

Why seriously doubt it?

They are two different types of players - which Moyes said at the start of the window he wanted to sign two midfielders.

It's not far fetched to assume we're after the pair.
