Good luck to Bale at RM. I genuinely hope he continues to grow as a player and doesn't fall into the career shredding trap that a move to RM can turn out to be. I do think it is the wrong move but he is backing himself to succeed in a club full of exceptional talent (and i do think it is that rather than the ££££) and I can only applaud that mentality.

He recent behaviour has been really pretty terrible but Spurs have done very well from his efforts (and he from theirs) so I can hold it against him too much.

I think every Spurs fan would have loved him to become our talisman but I think the last player who will be that for a major club will be Wilshere. In the UK, youth development has pretty much stopped for the big teams and as a result club loyalty will become even more of an exception.

Absolutely right. I think we Gunners are lucky to have Wilshere, born and bred through our system. Its unfortunate that the uk youth development is not where it should be. its good, but compared to Spain for example it could be better.

Absolutely chuffed with the signing of Sahko (huge upgrade over what we were linked with earlier on in the window), was touted as the best young cb a few years ago, total beast of a player. Silly of PSG to let him go.

I dont get why people are blaming Moyes for our transfers, or lack of them. Its Ed Woodward and the other board members we should be blaming, Moyes clearly had targets and every one so far we haven't been anywhere near close enough to getting.

Also, why aren't we or anyone for that matter in for Sneijder? He would be cheap from Galatasaray and is still top quality.

I don't think anyone is? (well maybe Nick)

Didn't Galatasaray say we inquired about Sneijder this summer?

They didn't really have a choice, he didn't want to sign a contract, and it ended next year.

If we lose Fellani and or Baines today then Moyes is an utter ****....

Did Moyes prove himself to be an utter **** with his comments the other week about he'd have done whats right for Baines & Fellaini and somed them if he was still the Everton manager?
Liverpool confirm signing of Tiago Ilori. 1 down, 2 to go. I wonder if one of the current CBs will go before the end of the day.

If a decent offer comes in for Skrtel then I'm sure he'll go.

There's a little bit of chat on twitter about how we might switch to 3 at the back, which would explain the extra CB and also allow us to play all of Coutinho, Sturridge & Suarez centrally, but I can't see it.

Good work by Liverpool. After watching the game y'day, and those new signings, they will be up there all season. Team to watch out for I think :(

We're still short of a powerful defensive midfielder but it seems Spurs are stock piling all of those. If we can do a last minute deal for Mascherano though, I'll be very happy.

Sky Sources are reporting that Man Utd have entered the race to sign Mesut Ozil & have made contact with his representatives #SkyDeadlineDay

Ozil and Fellaini =

If we get Ozil it does look more likely we're selling Kagawa?

There does seem a lot of noise he'd prefer a move to Man Utd and I do like a player showing desire before they sign.

Dreams broken...

I am told #MUFC definitely NOT in for Mesut Özil. Working hard on deals for Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera. #DeadlineDay
