Is right. There is no way Moyes will play him in his preferred holding midfield role.

Rooney and/or Welbeck doing the Anichebe job out wide roughing up fullbacks, it will be like watching Everton again. You just need to imagine Kenwright done a Cardiff and made Everton play in red.

So we turned down the chance to sign Ozil.....super. I can understand why Chelsea turned him down as they have enough creative players already. We desperately need creativity.

Should have got him and got rid of Nani (or Rooney if he isnt happy)

Fellaini is such a "meh" signing. We need to be in for world class players like Ozil, not just simply 'good' players that have been playing in a mid table club for years and years.

£6m for Anichebe from WBA!!!!!! TAKE IT NOW!!!!!!!!!

disagree.

De Gea
Rafael - Rio - Vidic - Evra/Baines
Carrick - Fellaini
Nani - Rooney - Kagawa
RVP

Would be my choice.

Yeah but it's not Moyes'.

And Giggs will still be in CM!

And Giggs will still be in CM!

I think you will find this is the bigger issue chaps.

I don't understand how we expect players that require an understanding with their team mates around them to function properly are going to come in randomly and set the world alight. We have done this with Kagawa, Nani and I would imagine we will do this with Harrera if we get him.

Look at the top teams and they work as a unit. They know where their next pass will be and they always have options and an exit ball. The number of times Kagawa was caught out last season because he turned round 360 degrees and saw no one in a good position was ridiculous. Most of the teams in the bottom half of the table play better football in their midfields than we do currently.

Football has changed and we are still trying to play our old style with the odd modern footballer thrown in. It works well enough because we always have a Rooney or RvP to compensate but it simply doesn't cut it at the top level or where your rivals are finally sorting themselves out.

Do they not want Shola Ameobi while they are there? More experience, and more goals in the PL!

Has he reached double figures for his career in the PL yet? If so, he's worth 10m on Anichebe's valuation by WBA. Hell, you can have Delfouneso for a bargain 12m in potential alone :D

Moses to Liverpool should be announced soon and the club are still working on a deal for Given - who's wages are proving a sticking point - so say the journos on twitter.

With that, I'm off out for a few hours so I hope nothing big happens. Somebody keep an eye on Robbo just in case Utd don't sign somebody.

edit: I said it would be soon:

I'm ITK

THE VIEW FROM ITALY
Italian side Juventus apparently want to close the transfer window by signing Cagliari midfielder Radja Nainggolan, possibly on loan with a right of release. But newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports that Cagliari want to sell the Belgian international outright, although a solution could be found in a co-ownership deal.

He's a midfielder! Moyes, get in there!

Kinnear hard at work it seems. What a waste of space that man is. Before his arrival we were on the verge of signing Douglas on a free, which he put a stop to.

Now it appears he can't even sign a player who is desperate to join the club (Gomis).

PSG have just outbid Arsenal for Ozil

Major potential Ozil newsItalian journalist Tancredi Palmeri tends to be on the ball when it comes to the big European moves. AND HE IS SO EXCITED BY HIS LATEST SCOOP THAT HE HAS TWEETED IN CAPITALS!

ARSENAL'S BID FOR OZIL HAS BEEN OUTBID BY PSG 2 MINUTES AGO!

Poor Southampton! Worst thing is it was my company who dealt with the Southampton Administration!

We've been asked how much money Southampton will make from the Gareth Bale transfer.

The answer is absolutely nothing.

Saints did have a 25% sell-on clause in the deal to sell Bale to Tottenham, but is was renegotiated when the south-coast club were in deep financial trouble.

As part of the new deal, Saints got Spurs goalkeeper Tommy Forecast.

Daniel Levy is some sort of arch-negotiator.
