Had we spent say £12m on Eriksen then I'd have been OK with it as his value will only increase and not a huge outlay, whereas Ozil is going to have to come in and perform from day 1 with this massive millstone around his neck, joining mid-season in a new league speaking a different language etc.

His value can only drop and I'd say his pricetag could result in him being regarded as a flop (think Juan Veron) unless he rips up the EPL.

Ironically I think he'd have been a much better buy for MU as he is the type of player they need, Arsenal not so much.

Really annoyed we missed out on Ozil. He would have been good competition for Francomb and Luke Moore in the forward roles. Oh well, roll on the JPT.
