De Rossi is too old now, not worth it. I known Italians last for ever but still, we shouldn't be signing players in their thirties (unless they're a keeper potentially)

Although the window is closed deals can still be completed:

If a club gets a 'deal-sheet' into the Premier League before 2300 BST they can keep working on the fine details of a transfer after the deadline.

The deal-sheet has to be signed by the buying and selling club and the player and must include the agreed terms of fee and wages. If that is completed correctly and is in before 2300, clubs will be granted extra time.

If it is an international transfer deal, the clubs have until midnight, because that is when Fifa's Transfer Matching System closes. If it is a domestic deal, the clubs have until 0100 BST.

Not sure how I feel about Coentrao... Guess it can't hurt to have him, he was very highly rated at one point.

we've loaned out BAE and now have danny rose as our first choice lb. coentrao on loan would've been ideal for spurs.

i think it's safe to say the ''special relationship'' between spurs and madrid is dead in the water.

coentrao is a utility player, he can play left back, left wing, wing back or centre mid in a holding role.

Madrid paid £23 mil for him 2 years ago so he isnt a mug.

not sure we need another left sided player but hell......id have in the team in place of Young thats for sure!

Statisticians Opta: 11 - Marouane Fellaini scored 11 PL goals last season, only one Man Utd midfielder (Kagawa, 6), scored more than two. Welcome.

Kagawa was our top scorer from midfield?!? He barely seemed to play!

I think we can all agree that we have done absolutely nothing that we should have done this transfer window so 10m on Di Rossi would have been a fantastic bit of business in hindsight.

I stupidly assumed that because we didn't bother with Fellainis release clause and passed up the chance to get Di Rossi that we had some other deals nailed down.

Dress in black suit, carry briefcase, look important and walk in through the door. Easy, very easy. :p:D

Aye my brother in law and his brother used to drive £100k Ferraris and Porches when they were young men. All they did was dress up in a sharp suit and go to a dealership pretending to be millionaire buyers and got given a 'sample' to use over the weekend. In reality they were skint and couldn't even afford the petrol for them.

Scary how a good suit can fool people so easily.

Well now he seems like a bargain!

Please the note the above is sarcasm to stop me from dying inside :p

De Rossi didn't want to move though?

I think this imposter stuff is nobody in Spain knowing who David Moyes is and/or still can't believe he's got the Utd job.

"There's a scottish guy here claiming to be manager of Manchester United, it's definitely not Fergie though. How stupid does he think we are??"

Azza, my mate's asking if Everton have signed Fernando from Porto. Been at work all day, know anything about that one?

It doesn't look like it or at least it seems to have been lost within the sea of signings. No body seems to know anything, a lot of people reckon it was a smokescreen to get Whelan to play ball on McCarthy.

I'm still hopefuly he'll turn up in the morning though, Fellaini did when we signed him! :D
