Some are, even better are the ones saying they didn't want Arsene gone even if they didn't directly say it, not just on here either. Now its '****ING PLAYED ARSENE, TOP LAD'. Mental they waited last minute to sign one player in a relatively crowded position which they already have massive quality

Admittedly there are people out reacting like that, but lets be fair.. Every single club out there has a lot of idiots supporting them, and the bigger the club, obviously the more idiots. Let's not tar all the supporters with the stupid minority.

Anyone with half a brain will realise that Wenger and the board have still been highly negligent. Spent way too much time on an unattainable target and have still left the squad thin.

It wasn't the best window in terms of cover, but I think people are forgetting the kind of morale boost this gives to everyone (well, except DM) around Arsenal, including the players themselves. Cover is needed for a couple of positions yes, but I know I'd much rather a small squad with good players, rather than filling it up with rubbish, as it was before.

My god just woke up from the weirdest dream. I dreamt someone paid 27.5 million for Fellaini. The weirdest thing was the fans thought they had bought a DM. They didn't even realise they had bought Carlton Palmer with an afro!

Yeah in a perfect summer we would have got Cesar, Williams, gustavo and Higuain. Plus ozil :p

But for one reason or another they didn't come. If managers are to be believed then we bid for about thirty players this summer.

Higuain bid was the biggest mess with us having a bid accepted then the price went up... To be fair I would have told them where to go...but on reflection it wasn't a bad price now.

We have played our hand and ended up with one world class player. Only time will tell. Verm, ox and pod return from injury we have a strong first team and good bench.

Assuming we play Fellaini next to Carrick (this shouldn't even be an option), then I think we're a better side than without him. He also gives us some 'steel' and a better aerial threat from corners etc.

I haven't seen massive amounts of him as a central midfielder, but his ability there will decide how good a deal this is.

I'm not writing him off yet. At least he'll look more of a presence than Cleverley even if he doesn't do anything... :p

If Moyes plays him off the striker then I'll rapidly lose patience.

At least we've kept Rooney as well.

One question regarding Fellaini: Doesn't having a giant bouffant afro hairdo get in the way of precision when heading the ball? :p

For such a tall player it seems an unnecessary extra complication! I know his hairdo is kind of his trademark, but still...

You'd have thought so wouldn't you!

Podolski out for 3 months? It's lucky Arsenal brought a forward in on deadline day.

I wouldn't consider it as an issue, as he probably wasn't going to start that much anyway. I'd imagine Cazorla might spend a bit of time out on the left instead.

Although it's nice to see such a big signing come in I am still disappointed with the transfer window. I felt that CM was a position we least needed filling. With Podolski out for 3 months we have no genuine quality striker to fill in if Giroud becomes injured. Flamini i'm unsure of, he had a very very good last season for us but hasn't exactly set the world alight since he left. I had hoped for 3 - 4 20 mil + players coming in rather than 1 40 mil +. I still feel the same way about Wenger as I did before, I think he's lost it a bit and doesn't really have a plan for the way forward.

Cazorla is completely wasted on the left! Pod needs to be a starter when he's fit. I think our best side will be:

Chesney
Jenkinson - Kos - Mert - Monreal
..........,Wilshere
.....Cazorla - .....Ozil
Walcott - Giroud - Podolski

The biggest problem United have actually had last year was the fact that our wingers had 0 form and were injured most of the time, they have always been our creative outlet and it was often the job of the midfielders to just spray it out to them with a cross field ball and that we were quality on the counter attack.

If we can get them up and running and not in and out with niggling injuries, then we should do absolutely fine in terms of creativity (incl. Kagawa/Rooney, too.)

Overall, I'm not quite ready to throw myself over the edge. If our wingers keep getting niggles though then we're buggered anyway :p

It's a little known fact that the secret to his chest control is that he's got an afro on his chest too.

Rooney and Welbeck will be out wide roughing up fullbacks with Fellaini playing behind RvP and then De Gea & your back 4 pumping balls forward ;)

Sssshh, I know that's the reality but I'm not quite resigned to it yet, give me a little bit of faith that we'll use the players properly.

And you? You have said many times he needs to go

I admit that i have in the past, even now sometimes i think its time he moved on but it was fustration more than anything at his lack of spending this summer. Still not extremely happy with just the one signing but im hoping it works out for us.

One thing is for sure, its going to casue a few headaches selection wise but im sure Wenger knows what he is doing...i hope:D
