Think it was strootman and adem ljajic that enabled roma to sell lamela nice story though.
I see where you are going and I dont disagree, but the wages he was after would have been up there with RvP / Rooney - and with the fee RM was on it was an insane amount for a player not really required
And even better still someone posted a few pages ago about Gervinho being put through in a game for Roma, only for him to fluff it up like he did at Arsenal. Im just surprised that Wenger ditched him so suddenly, not that i want the spamhead back but i guess Wenger decided this summer that hes had enough of our rubbish players, got rid of 17 of them either on loan or for free and that in turn released some much needed money to get Ozil in.
Isn't he on £130k? Rooney is on more like £250k isn't he? And Rooney is a backup player...
Sigh, I'm going to bite. No he isn't.
I wonder what other teams do when they have more than eleven good players![]()
Lets be honest its no secret Ozil was having issues at RM, and that with the Bale deal being agreed Real were looking to trim the squad. Spending 42.5 when the above was obvious is very unlike Wenger - Ozil should have been around 30m tops not 42.5m.
Yet we offered 40m and 1 pounds for Suarez when Liverpool were crying out for 50m, I know who I would have spent the extra 10m on![]()
Just selling gervinho for £8m was bonus enough lol I thought we would have to give him away. In my mind that reduces ozil back to £34m
Im interested in seeing if the greatest striker ever gets a look in, I think he would be good back up for giroud if he can sort himself out. And playing him in his natural position would be a rare thing.
Cool I followed Bendtner since he first came to us and always had high hopes for him even if it were else where.
He's not the worlds greatest striker but he could do a good job for us if played in the right position. He was clinical in the reserves. Could work out good for both parties.
