Singing die die piggy piggy die :D.

I wouldn't want Wednesday to just throw money at the problem either, we live in the 'here and now' generation were Sky are obsessed with where you are not where you're going and throwing money at something for a quick fix seems to be the easiest fix.

I'd much rather a club build and grow.

I'll cut you .

Hehe, wondered where you disappeared since we had money! ;)

But yeah, I really do want to develop a squad over time, but obviously I'd be silly to complain too much if our prince was to throw money at the situation, it is his money at the end of the day. :p
I'm looking ahead with very cautious optimism though, I'm well aware this could all blow up in our faces.

Ive heard about a 9.5m transfer for wesley sneijder this january for Man utd.

Given the 30 million people were talking up a season or so ago, the fall in price is pretty redicolous really. But i think its good value and would definitely want him snapped up at that kind of price.

the way our team is run is completely retarded.

I work with a piggy too, (he's a good friend, much like you he's not a stupid fan either) but he's going to be ****ing unbearable :(.

I would love a rich owner at Wednesday but I'd be more scared of the quick fix, than anything else and it going wrong, ala what happened with us previously, spending beyond our means.

I'd much rather build something, grow it from the roots up. Better coaches, better youth development and youth recruitment.

Anyway; I never thought I'd see Manchester United panic buy (as that's what Screech felt like).

For those doubting whether Arsenal needed Ozil... It's not about needing him or not, if he is the "best no. 10 in the world" why would you not have him? Everyone needs Ozil!

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/15118/8904358/everyone-needs-zil

Fact is that no we do not need him when there are other positions that are needed to solidify ie striker/forward is definitely one area.

But what people dont seem to realise is that although we dont really need him, fact of the matter is that he adds a little bit more spice into our midfield...its really as simple as that. Look at his stats from his 3 yrs at Real, he has been nothing short of superb for them and if he can come to Arsenal and do exactly the same sort of thing he did at Real then pure awesome.

Says it all yesterday when Real unveiled Bale to their fans and majority of the crowd were shouting...dont sell Ozil, even the Real fans know what a huge huge loss he is for them.

Their loss is our gain simply put...just wish we didnt have this damned international break as i so badly want to see Ozil play in an Arsenal shirt:p.

I think the best way to phrase it is... His position wasn't a priority.

But when genuine world class becomes available, you don't hesitate.

Oh... and... Equal on assists with Messi :D

Methink that might change now:p and yes i dont remember Fergie buying players in Jan. Moyes im not so sure about, i think iirc he has bought a player or 2 in the Jan window.

I think the last time he really bought in Jan was Evra and Vidic however many years ago that was - but apart from that SAF skipped the Jan window for the most part

I would be surpsied if we didnt buy someone in Jan - they have launched an internal investigation as to what happened during the summer window (but I doubt will be released as to any changes made etc)

Exactly, we already cocked up with Higuain and chasing Suarez, who at no point was going to join us earlier this summer. So lessons were learnt i hope and as you said, when top quality or world class players become available you jump at taking them and what pleases me is that we finally went and spent a lot of money lol. When usually we wont pay more than £10mill for a player lol.

My only small issue is that we paid too much money for him but so late in the window, we were always going to get shafted price wise but then on the other hand genuine world class players are never cheap.

Does sound like your new chief exec was well out of his depths transfer wise, he came from a sponsorship background ie was in charge of that before Gill and Fergie left.

Wouldnt be surprised if Utd sack him and replace him with someone who has more experience and is more transfer wise astute.

No they aren't. That's what Moyes wants to do in his first season at United, break their transfer record for a CAM when we have a perfectly good one warming the bench.................no just no.

But he was chasing Fabregas?

They have Kagawa + Rooney why would they want to spend that much on a position they dont need?

Did you not read the article? Everyone needs Ozil :p My new favourite quote lol.

We desperately need as much creativity as we can get. Besides, do we have Kagawa? Don't see him play much and left out of the squad entirely against Liverpool.....

Besides we were bidding on Fabregas...no one had a problem with that.

For me, Ozil and Fabregas aren't the same sort of player. Fabregas is tried and tested playing CM, Ozil is always further forward. I do think we should have gone for Ozil though, but oh well.
