The players that supply these guys and sacrifice some of their own headline moments for the good of the team are almost as important and by all accounts it is Ozil that has been doing that for Madrid.

I dunno, last season RVP did a pretty good job of winning the PL for Man Utd despite what was behind him :trollolol: :p

Reminds me of Zidane deploring the sale of Makelele during the first Galactico era - such an instrumental player but getting 'names' was more important, although Ozil is way more of a name than poor little Claude was.

Comparisons to who exactly??, i dont recall any Arsenal fans saying that with Ozil we are going to win all 4 trophies :confused: If anything he will take us up a notch and will also attract other top quality players.

You are right that its been a long time coming for us to get a top quality player into our side. But then you probably dont remember that we built a new stadium and have been paying it off since it was built, which didnt leave a lot of money to attract top quality players. Despite that we still managed to qualify for the CL yr in yr out despite us losing our best players;). That says a lot about Arsenal, sure we havent competed or come close to winning a trophy before Fabregas left but u cant just disregard what we have done. Finally after so many yrs of selling our best players we finally became a buying club and got someone who is world class so you cant blame us Arsenal fans for celebrating a bit.

Say what you like newbie about Ozil coming to Arsenal, fact is he is an immense player. Top joint with the amount of assists with Messi in Europe, Real fans and players extremely angry that he has left and even the German manager has said more or less the same thing. He was Real's second best player, that says something about a team with a whole load of names around him.
