No, two seasons of being dumped out of the CL and suffering against top teams who press our midfield has determined that we need better midfielders who are faster with and without the ball, can retain possession as well as win it back and can add some goals.

I think that was more to do with Mancini being a bit crap than a lack of 'decent' midfielders

Well that is your opinion.

A few tidbits about Tevez and Cavani flying around.

Juventus have agreed terms with Tevez now they just need to make an offer to City.
City have agreed terms with Cavani and the deal is in place for Cash + Dzeko but Napoli want more cash.
Depending on how much more could mean this deal is done quickly or not at all.

Whatever we get for Tevez is better than what we will get next season, it gets his wages off the books and enables us more room to change the team.

We could end this summer with a better squad, a reasonable net spend and a lower wage bill!

EDIT: Fernandinho arriving for his medical :)

Moyesy, sign him up son!

Mata not the Tranny.

Possibly one of the most ridiculous rumours of the transfer window so far. I think most clubs in Europe would take Mata in a heartbeat. I would sell other peoples children to have him at United.

From what I read it's a case of them being 'Rafa's boys' and Maureen wants to make a stand that he runs things.

He would be super stupid to sell Mata though.

Where's the brucey wobbly legs gif when you need it :p

Di Rossi? Off to Chelsea? or just english media guff

If you asked me 2 season ago, I would have said 100% no.

If you had asked me last season I would have said 90% no.

If you ask me today, I would say 50% no.

he was terrible last season, very much below what is expected from him. He earns 6M a season, which is quite a lot for the Serie A. Roma are contemplating selling hi for around €20M, and help that fund other transfers.

The Roma fans, who used to be very protective of DDR, have boo-ed him all through the season, and at the end of the Coppa Italia final vs Lazio, he was one of the main targets of criticism from the fans.

Everything points to his sale, except one thing, maybe the most important. His love for the place. Has born in Rome, and he wants to end his career at Roma. This criticism may have influenced that decision slightly, so he may be off.

I wouldn't be surprised if he left, either for Chelsea or for Real.
