Well if Garcia played like he had done in the CL and for Benfica it would have been a different story but alas he hasn't so yes in hindsight it is a bad transfer.

Besides, what is it that you think makes De Jong so great? very passionate and driven player but technically very limited and was phased out of the team long before he was sold.
The rumors are we offered a contract to keep him but he turned it down because we couldn't give him assurances he would play every week which is a reasonable request. He was coming towards his final year of his contract so we sold him.

How come Džeko's not really 'worked out' at Citeh? A cursory glance at his stats shows he's got close to a 1 in 2 record in the Premier League, over the last two seasons, which isn't to be sniffed at (30.5 appearances and 14 goals being the averages).

He was flavour of the month in germany when they bought him.

Work the rest out out yourself.

I think flavor of the month is a bit harsh. He scored plenty of goals for Wolfsburg both domestically and in the CL during his time there.

He has also scored plenty for us but for certain reasons he hasn't done as well as he should/could have.

The latest rumor is that the Fernandinho deal is done and also I think I heard on the radio earlier that Perez has said he isn't interested in Isco so that could also mean he is a possibility if not a done deal.

Pellegrini and Isco have the same agent so that could be why it is taking so long for the deal to be announced.

Here we go:

José Mourinho’s first significant act since returning to Chelsea could be to deliver a blow to his old foe, Arsène Wenger, as he is intent on hijacking Arsenal’s attempts to sign Stevan Jovetic.

The newly appointed Chelsea manager has told the board that he wants to make the Montenegro striker his first signing after returning for his second spell at the club and talks have opened with Fiorentina over a £23 million transfer.

If ronaldo comes back I will have to take a week off work

Ronaldo back and on one wing, Zaha on the other, a new midfielder, off load Nani, Anderson and Rooney concentrating on RvP and Chicarito, and I'll be more than happy come the start of the season.

Only thing that could top this is if we can find someone to take Welbeck off us.

We could never be that lucky.

Certain reasons probably means Mancini is tactically retarded. :p
I think Mancini could certainly have in some games utilized Dzeko more by changing the formation a bit but the main reason is Dzekos inability to be rested for a game or two then come back and look capable of playing football.
He lacks self confidence I think. Perhaps under a different manager in Pellegrini he can get more out of him.

A lot of the papers reporting the Fernandinho deal which is looking very likely.
I haven't watched him play outside of a CL game v Chelsea but he looks exactly what we need in midfield.
Also regarding the Isco deal..
Malaga general manager Vicente Casado: "Isco has not yet been sold to Manchester City." (via @Al_PrimerToque)

"Not yet" would suggest that we are in the running to sign him and as I said yesterday I wonder if this is why we are taking so long to announce the Pellegrini deal.

Agger to Monaco rumors gathering pace by all accounts, reported in the Liverpool Echo and on various journo twitter feeds, 23 million euro is the figure being thrown around.
