Apparently Arsenal have triggered Fellaini's 22m release clause. Be a good signing if they got him.
In what way, the fact that twice a season we'd have less cheating to deal with from the opposition, sure, worth 22mil, not a chance.
He's not great defensively, he's pretty much a thug that can only at some stage be targetted by the ref's for all his crap, he's not a great goal scorer, he had his first patch of "good" form in the first third of the season where he was scoring. he got 11 for the season, 8 in the first half, a very poor second half to the season, and afaik that is the second of 5 seasons he's scored over 3 goals, which isn't particularly impressive.
He's not a striker, he's not a defensive midfielder, he's not really a support striker or midfield playmaker.
Arsenal have Wilshire and Santi, who are categorically better than Fellani in midfield, he was better in the first half of last season because he played as a striker much more the half of the season, 8 goals for the utter domination(and cheating, and elbows) isn't particularly brilliant. Arsenal need a rock solid striker, and better wide players, we don't need a midfielder outside of rotation/back up and replacements for Rosicky and Diaby, even then Wenger doesn't want to get rid of those two.
For me Fellani is another player who doesn't have a clear role, and excels at nothing(beyond being a vicious pratt), there are MUCH better strikers, better defensive midfielders, better offensive midfielders.
I'd take Fellani before Rooney, but money on either is a complete waste.
