Summer Transfer Window 2017/18 - Rumours & Signings

For all the good Everton have done in the transfer market they go and ruin it all by bringing Rooney back?!

Itll be on loan more then likely...dont really have a lot to lose.

Everton have spent a lot of money on average players imo...i like Sandro and i think thats a great signing...the rest? Meh.

Giraud scores goals and his wages are reasonable. Rooney is now a over priced paperweight on £300 k plus per week.

No one would have bought him with his ridiculous wages.

Thats a pretty accurate summary to be fair. Rooney is not worth even 1/3 of his wages at the moment and he could be disruptive if he wanted to be. I would happily let him leave for nothing.

Giroud isn't like a 30 goal a season striker. Plus he doesn't bring the pr of a former England captain and top goalscorer?

Rooney's England stats mean nothing to me. Most of his England performances have been utterly embarrassing.

Overrated and overpaid.

I'll be glad when this retard is retired so I don't have to look at his ugly mug.

Don't get it. Giroud 20 million 30 years old. Rooney free transfer 31 years old.
Rooney has been crap for a few seasons, he hinders Utd now and doesn't deserve his England place anymore. I don't get why some Utd fans think he will turn it around.

Giroud plays as a target man and contributes over all, Rooney slows Utd down and looks done not that he even looks like he looks after himself.

Rooney isn't like a 30 goal striker either and hasn't been for a long long time

If you didn't know who he was or his past and you watched Rooney now you would say he was a relegation PL team level striker at best.

He never was to be fair, he's always liked to assist as well, he's dropped off the front line consistently since he was a teenager. He's probably been unfairly judged like that his whole career, people believing he's an out n out striker.

Really wouldn't be surprised if he got some decent game time, fit and everything, he could do quite well again. If he's on reasonable wages considering his status and global brand, he'll be a good signing, you'll know he'll always put his heart on the line for Everton.

How do Utd fans feel about Rooney? Leaving a legend or not?

I think he would be ok for MLS and he would be able to adapt to the american way of life quite easily as well. The question is whether Coleen would want to move the family to the US.
