Trent's a freak tbf and you can't compare him with any other fullback around. In terms of the influence he has on the side (and not just any side) and attacking output, he's off the scale and he's doing this at the age of 21. I'm not sure if anybody has done it before (without taking pens anyway) but I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up getting double figure goals and assists in the next couple of years.

As long as we carry on playing in the way that we do, I hope and expect he'll stay a RB but it's not going to be long before he's no longer being discussed as the best fullback in the world and simply one of the best players in the world.

I have a suspicion that he’ll end up as a RM or RW as he gets a bit older, maybe in his late 20’s.

If I was a top player I certainly would go to United.
If all you’re after is money then I agree. If you want success, trophies and to work with one of the best coaches of recent times with a track record of improving players under him, then Liverpool is the place to go. You’ll just struggle to get into the team at the moment.

He's a Utd fan ;)

I little part of me dies every time I hear somebody suggest playing Trent as a right sided midfielder. He is so good on the ball that you want to get him on the ball as much as possible. I'm not sure how that will ever be the case playing him as a right sided midfielder. And he's not got the blistering pace or trickery to play right up the pitch as a right sided forward like a Salah or Mane.

The two positions for Trent right now are RB or the right side of a midfield 3, similar to how KdB plays. When he's 32 and his legs have gone then you can play him as a holding midfielder and he can dictate the game without leaving the centre circle.

I just think he’ll lose a bit of pace as he gets older and may not have the legs to get up and down the wing as he does now. Time will tell I guess!

I’d struggle to get off the M6 motorway to even get close ;) I’d happily work with Klopp though. United don’t look as bad as they have in recent years tbf.

BBC Gossip time.

Manchester City and Paris St-Germain target David Alaba's agent is asking Bayern Munich pay the 28-year-old Austria left-back 20m euros (£18m) a year to extend his contract. (Bild - in German)

If this fella leaves then he'll be on an absolute tonne of money. I think he's City bound personally now they can pretty much do as they please.

Liverpool and Manchester City are both interested in 27-year-old Sevilla and Brazil defender Diego Carlos, who has a release clause of £70m. (Star)

I'm not a journalist...i dont have links to the club. Even i know this is nonsense.

Atletico Madrid have rejected an improved offer of 25m euros (£22.6m), plus 21-year-old France midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, from Arsenal for Ghana defensive midfielder Thomas Partey, 27. (AS - in Spanish)

25m Euros alone is better then 25 mil plus Guendouzi lol.

Bounrmouth have accepted a £41m bid from City for Akè.

Really don't understand why City don't buy top defenders and keep going after players they hope can step up and become top players.

Ake's not bad but it's an odd transfer. They're basically signing an understudy to Laporte when the priority surely has to be somebody to play alongside him and a fullback or two.
