Summer Transfer Window 22/23

Here's hoping Arthur can be a useful player for us. He's clearly got something about him and all the talk re his time at Juve is that he suffered as a result of injuries but also he was a bit of collateral damage from Sarri's sacking. The statto's say he's identical to Thiago in terms of his style of play so he clearly fits into how we play - if all we get is an understudy and cover for Thiago then that'll do me.

And Gerrard seemed to be hinting that he'd be sold today too. Not the best sign for Gerrard about his own future.
Option to buy on Melo for 32m too, we'll see if he provides enough to have us trigger that.

via sky sports: Leeds have signed Italy international Wilfried Gnonto from FC Zurich. One player coming in at least I think he might have been coming either in January or next summer but they brought this one forward due to the earlier shenanigans.

Gilmour went through for 7.5m have a feeling he'll thrive under potter. Will be another great but of business by them.

City managed to offload another 2 players who wouldn't get a sniff in their squad for £16m. It's no wonder they manage to do so well with sell on fees etc.

Why have Leeds let Dan James go on loan? I can't understand that.

But he’s not ready for the first team so pointless. Embarrassing choices as usual. James going is just the icing on the cake.

Auba to Chelsea confirmed, it's going to feel strange having him back at a rival team so soon after he left, you could argue it's also a bit of a kick in the teeth to have him leave on a free transfer and then be sold on for an 8-digit fee the same year, but I guess wages play a bit of a factor there i.e.

Thats why you should hoover up free transfers like Belotti and Dybala and sell them I'm future if it doesn't work out. You'll at least get the wage money back and so it's basically a zero risk move.

Jose knows.

City have done really well out of hoovering up top level prospects from across the world and then selling them on after a year or two, they include buy back and sell on clauses in all the deals so if they do go on to be world class they can get them back at a knock down fee or benefit from the next sale, it is clever if slightly depressing business. Luckily Saints seem to be the current beneficiaries if these next two are even close to Lavia in ability then we have some great additions.

Overall I'm pretty happy with our window the team is stronger and we have added some real quality, slightly disappointed we didn't manage to bring in a striker/forward as having lost Broja from last year we look a little light in numbers up top and will be heavily dependant on Che Adams for goals.

Who was it that was banging on about Mudryk?

Wow, what a player this lad looks, think someone mentioned getting him for £30m in the window, will be double now. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at City!

Me. Very bitter we didn't sign him.

But shows that we're still adept at spotting high potential players now we've stepped up a division.
