Summer Transfer Window 23/24

Ornstein reporting that united have made contact with Rabiot again. Just the Mum to Navigate.

We have made so many financially bad decisions now that I would rather we just reject and walk away from silly prices. Even if it effects us in the short term.

The whole Mount debacle is case in point. Chelsea are the ones who are in deep dog turd with FFP so why are they dictating price?

Anyone know much about this julien timber from ajax arsenal are close to signing?

I believe hes got a brother who is pretty good at football. Jurrien I think. United were in for him last summer I think but he wanted to stay at Ajax. Good player apparently.

Are they though. They have offloaded quite a few players already and the window isn't even open properly yet. They will be fine. SA will take all their deadwood and they have sold Havertz to Arsenal for a good sum, Kovacic to Man City and if they sell Mount they will have probably made £150m or so.

They are however failing to qualify for Europe has actually helped them by removing (or at least not made it so important) the 30th June deadline for Chelsea to raise money. Had Chelsea qualified for Europe then they'd have been under a lot of pressure to book profits on this seasons accounts (which run until the end of June), which could only have been done by selling to English sides as international deals can't officially go through until after 1st July

Chelsea are still in a mess and that mess will be bigger moving forwards as a result of not qualifying for Europe but they've been given some breathing space.

Looks like Liverpool and Arsenal could be in competition for Romeo Lavia. Liverpool appear to have jumped ahead in the race slightly as we’re concentrating on getting other deals done first.
We're being linked with quite literally every central midfielder in the world. I'm fairly sure I played a couple of games in midfield for my school back in the day, I'm disappointed I've not been linked with a transfer.

Is he better than Jones or Elliott? Or Carvalho for that matter?
Different players, he's a DM for one. Very raw whenever I saw him, but highly rated. One of man city's 'academy' players.

If the rumoured price is 50 million plus I'd prefer us to throw the extra at caicedo

He won’t cost £50m, no chance. £40 tops.
We shouldnt be going anywhere near him for 40m. Not at this time, thats nuts. There are better, more proven options we could go for , for not much more than that. This isnt the time to be splurging 40m on a 19 year old DM who was relegated with an atrocious team that went down with a whimper last season.
