I saw one on the right side of the road on the way to the pub with it's head on backwards whilst still doing the funky chicken and I was about 30sec behind SS-89 but that was on an unclassified road near the start (just off the A272 I think?).

One missed my windscreen by about 3mm. I actually ducked. Didn't see any road kill though.

I know exactly which one you're on about but wasn't me I moved out of the way to avoid it.
