******* supermarket "butchers"

Do you get monthly boxes? Any chances of some pics of what you get? Anything you'd really recommend from them?

Yep, the sausages are rubbish other than that they're very good, although a few annoyances. All the joints come in 1kilo bits, I'd your order two, then you get two*1kilo bits, although the weight is always over 1.2-1,4kilos. They had a power cut this week and messed the meat box up completely, only got like 20% of the meat. So will see how they handel it this week. But overall as long as they sort this issue out I've been very happy with them. Although I am going to try a different one out after Christmas. See how that goes. Want a smaller meat box so I can get the cornsihfishmongers fish box as well.

Looks like a Morrisons's standard cut which is why I no longer buy my steak from them. In any case with the exception of M&S, Sainsbury's, and Asda's top line's supermarket pre-cut steaks are far to thin.

It came across as being one of those smug 'pointing out the rules to appear smart' posts. If that wasn't the case then I apologise for being a little short in my reply :) I'd had a few to drink and my tolerance levels were a tad low :p

FYI. It isn't necessary to star out the suffix, only the swear word itself (unless they've changed the rules) :)

Also, don't be fooled by the post count - most of it (100,000 to be precise) was bought in a charity post count auction a few years ago. Only the 5 thousand odd are actual posts.

Sir, I stand corrected :) And no deffo wasn't meant to be smug so for that I do apologise :)

That looks fantastic, and pretty good value i assume? Will look into doing something like that for sure once i have a bit more money to spend on food

Sounds good value to me! When they deliver though, is it in some sort of chilled pack and do they deliver on weekends?

It's I'm polystyrene box with ice packs.

Deliver on Thursday ~24 of the month. Just leave instructions to leve it somewhere if your out. So I just say stick it in garage and leave it unlocked.

I imagine it'll be delivered in a similar manner to how I got my unusual meat. If it's the case, I can vouch for it's coldness.
