Seems loading saves is broken and crashes the game or is it just me? Better start a new one then..

How do you pause the game? When you press escape to the menu the game seems to carry on (and when you select a menu item with left click it swings the axe etc)

I might actually buy this as it seems that the patches are coming out far faster than I originally thought they would (which is a major bonus for me).

Yeah they're pretty prompt, every 16-17 days I think.

No pause,but saving works well enough now. Or just standing still in a safe place probably won't get you killed either if you have to afk.

Really need pause as sometimes work out of hours (plus things like having to go to the toilet, eat etc!)

Build a small 3 wall area that concealed, you'll be OK there when you pause, use a temp shelter and save as well.

I heard alt tabbing out of the game pauses it, not 100% sure though.

You can climb sideways log walls, so keep jumping at it and you'll slowly ascend as if you're climbing up the logs... bit of a glitch, but as you can't pause it works for me!

I normally make 3 walls as it's quicker, triangle shape. (I only do this for AFK, as they can't attack you, or see you.)

Cant you just keep hiding like this with a fire and source of food. Then you would survive the forest for weeks.

Bit rubbish, but it would work I suppose

edit - alt tabbing out the game does seem to pause. thought sound continues, strange

That technique won't work when they bring out the full AI for the big nasties that knock down the walls

do you build a basic wall or defense wall? Can you climb one but not the other?

Pretty much! - I suspect soon they'll fix it plus certain enemies will be able to knock the walls down.

And it's the basic wall, where the logs are built on their side rather than vertically.
