Surviving Mars

Holy thread bump Batman!

Having picked up the base game for cheap in the MM, I came to ask if the DLC / Season pass was worth it but I see that has already been answered. Though I am wondering if anyone can confirm what is actually in the season pass? Depending on where I look (Steam reviews, Steam forum, Reddit etc) they each list slightly different thing.

They all seem to agree that Space Race and Green Planet are included which reading in to them and the individual prices I'm guessing these are the 2 big DLC's. Some include Project Laika though some don't. Then there seems to be several variations on which of the cosmetic dome packs/design packs are included.

I think the confusion arises because the Season Pass is different depending on when and where you buy it form.
If you look on Steam it looks like the Season Pass has altered over the years and now does contain Project Laika.

I bought the pack from steam that contains "everything" including the base game.
First Colony Edition - £18.00
As far as I can see I got everything except for the Stelaris Dome set.

After 3-4 games I got bored and moved on. Without the content added by Space Race / Green Planet i realy dunno what people do in the game.
Also looking at the full price for stuff like Project Liaka, they are not worth that amount. Its a couple of buildings and a "pets" that you will never notice while playing.

Thanks for the reply, games were so much simpler before DLC. I was looking at the CD keys one simply as it is cheaper than Steam though I presume it is the same as the one on Steam so will include Project Laika.

I am enjoying the base game for now but then I've only had a few days so still trying to figure out expanding my colony without killing everyone or running out of resources. Though I can see how once you've mastered this it would still be a challenge but less interesting.

As above, the DLC makes the game much more playable and expands options.

Various combinations of sponsor and commander and location can make the game harder but essentially its fairly easy.
