swansea Miners

Hundreds maybe thousands of miners in China die every year but I suppose when you have a population that big their loss seems a little less significant?

Having been to the area i know one thing, good people.

Hearting to watch the news last night, the strengh of character of people in the face of such tragic circumstance.

It's good to see we havn't lost that, all the best to those that will have to cope, there will allways be brighter days.

Not to me. I come from a family (Dad's side) heavily involved in coal mining. It's always a gut-wrencher whenever these stories appear in the news for me, no matter where in the world it is.

I see StriderX's first post was nuked at least. He's going on my ignore list anyway - I'm sure he'll survive such an act (internet - serious business!!!111oneone), but I don't particularly want to read the posts of someone who thinks that way about people risking their lives for our benefit.

When was i laughing?

I may be a cold person, but id never laugh at anothers death, not even for those whom some think might deserve it.

Im simply a person that does not value 4 peoples (probably well lived) lives over the many millions (born to die) that die daily, its grossly hypocritical and the only reasons that the miners were cared about was for irrational nationalism, being racially inclined, news focus (I can forgive this, but its still there) amongst many other archaic human attachments.

Ignore me if you want, its your choice and right, but its an underlying issue with this country, simply ignoring what you cant handle, simply breeds the inhospitable.

Norway ignored the far right, guess what, its not ignoring it now.

You're horrible. You're not a big, clever or 'cold' person, you're a pathetic nerd sat in your bedroom winding people up.

Well whatever you do don't start a thread when one of your close relatives die or you have a seriousness illness because they and you are just worthless to us.

Showing a little bit of empathy is what makes us different from apes.

I would never tell the world about my family, why would i need to?

If a close relative of mine dies, sure ill feel bad, because i have a direct connection with the person, as well as most people ive met.

Empathy is all and well till one of your relatives is unjustly murdered, would you call out for the murderer to die or be put on trial.

Until people give up their anger, they are no better than apes and do not deserve the title of being sentient.

Its their own fault for being wound up, its their emotions.

Went to the football today, and they had a minutes silence for the miners that died, just up the road. Some of the West Brom fans were shouting during the silence.. Talk about disrespect! I was saddened and sickened at the same time :(

Back on topic, I'd be happy if StriderX's account was nuked tbh, given his general attitude toward life in general... And the fact he's already on ignore by half the forum.

Nobody is angry.
