Sweetest M3 ever or not...?

It's a street car prepped for doing a lot of track days in. It's not just something to drive to work in, nor is it a race spec car ready for a season in the ALMS.

No, DTM cars are wide things with loads of flared aero bits, that M3 has red 5 spokes, a non DTM style rear spoiler and a front splitter. Nothing DTM about it at all.

I was thinking more like this dtm street car (?) then a full on racing one. :o

Why didn't you say that earlier then?

I've never seen one of those 'DTM' road cars before, have you? What do you think looks similar to the M3 in the OP? You really think they were going for the look of a special edition Mercedes?

I meant, maybe thats the look he was going for...I don't know Martin D so we will never know...?

Yes I have seen one at a NEC auto show before. ;)

Why is everyone so desperate to pin a 'look' he was going for?

Maybe he just modified it in a manner he liked, with parts he liked until he had a result he liked, without trying to attain any particular style or look.

This is clearly what he did. It's not 'DTM' style, nor is it a copy of some obscure special edition Mercedes that it looks nothing like. ;)

Look its just what I thought of when I first saw the OP.

Oh wait...I am the person who started the thread on ocuk...and OPs on Ocuk aren't allowed an opinion on what they post lol? :p

It seems to have been done to a very high standard with quality bits so it's hardly Chav now is it. Not to everyones taste, not to mine but it's a job well done.

It's your opinion, that's fine. It's a discussion forum though so I discussed with you why it's not a 'DTM' look at all and it is very unlikely he saw that Mercedes in your pic and said "I want my car to look like that". If he did, he failed - very badly. ;)

Can you see where I am coming from though? :)

I do fully agree that the interior is very JDM like in terms of styling. ;)
