biggest warp yet. got back to mos eisley after a mission, got a ticket, traveled to mos oasis, halfway to my wind farm. and telport back to before i arrived at mos eisley LOL.

Still i cant do mission now and no longer cash strapped, not rich either.

edit - servers down now.

Ganesh, I remember you, RSA weren't you?. Used to bump into you, piet and some others on late night NS elder hunts. That's the one thing I miss the most I think. Apart from maybe bounty hunting lol.

Yeah I was RSA, I remember many a late night/early morning nightsister or krayt hunt. Who were you?

And bounty hunting was the best online content of any game I've ever played, nothing has matched the thrill of taking down a powerful Jedi all on your own.
 
I literally just installed this, never played it originally and only dabbled towards the end of it's lifespan. Considering this I'd love some tips on where to start and what to focus on, I know it's a sandbox and I can do whatever I like e.t.c. and my first medium term goal is to build a house but for that I need money and a bit of combat experience, what's a good way to get a bit of both of them? Thanks.

Any good tips for a new player in general?

Yeah I'm downloading the .exe (part 1), but when I click part 2, which is a .cab file it shows up as code on my browser and doesn't download anything :confused:

I've just right clicked and saved link as, and it's now downloading... hopefully it'll work fine :p

just downloaded as a normal file for me in firefox :shrug:

Hmm strange... I am on a Macbook running Safari :p That may be the problem :p

Nevertheless, this is slower than I thought :eek: Might jump on the newsgroups and see if there is a file lurking around and get this going faster :p

EDIT: Found one in a minute :p Will finish downloading in a couple of minutes... Damn I love newsgroups :p

Installing this right now with my old discs, can't remember a damn thing so will probably just plod around for a bit till things come back to me.
 
If anyone wants ingame help /tell Xau or /tell Quij they are my 2 char's and I'm on both currently. 1 on my laptop, and 1 of desktop :)

e: I'm also on mumble at the moment too :)
 
Just got it all installed - Crazy how times have changed... I remember when I installed this from the discs and it took almost an hour to install. Now on my SSD, it was literally a minute :p

Now downloading the updates and I should be good to go :)
 
****! Just loaded it up, and I made a totally generic character so that I could load it up and change the graphics settings (Totally forgot you could change them through the launchpad :(), and now I've gone to make my proper character and it says I can't make any more characters for 24 hours :( And I can't even delete my other useless character :p Not a great start :p

I've already decided on my progression though - Hoping to go Master Marksman, then a little bit of Scout so that I can finally become Master Bounty Hunter ;) Jedi beware :p
 
My swoop is nearly 6k for repairs already at around 40% of life left ,so going to let it run down to near the bottom of the swoop health bar and see how much repairs cost,got an idea its probably cheaper to buy a new Swoop,it only cost me 6k for a swoop deed lol.
 
Their FAQ does not say it won't work at all. all it says is you need the original media, doesn't say why. Ie their agreement with SOE.
And yes it works.
