I've got a wookie alt who is a musician. If I'm doing something else on the computer I'll leave him afk playing in the cantina as it doesn't hurt anyone and he can heal people's mind wounds and battle fatigue.
I guess some people have done the grind on those professions a ton of times before and you don't play SWG for the leveling it's hardly where the game is strongest or where it is praised. You hear people talk about deep crafting, meaningful PVP, etc not how much they enjoyed grinding 1 million pistol XP. Plus the people who play this game are most likely older have lives have jobs have families and can't commit that much time to a game anymore.
When the game started I was a university student and had plenty of time to play it. It's almost ten years on now!
You know they plan to wipe Basilisk at some point

Cant see it any time soon. So much needs testing. That why they are happy with people having 10 toons and a shed laid of harvesters etc. a lot of content is to be added still.
I don't mind starting afresh unlocked Jedi early dec 2003 jan 04. Played a bit got bored as u could not compete with my wookie as they still don't have armour. Sold my account to a real life friend. Started over waited to the village and redid Jedi
TKA is mental I got 900k xp in one hour in the Squill Caves!
At what point did you go down there? Novice TKA with armor + buffs? or later along in the TKA tree ?
I've got a way off that still anyway - I haven't even got Novice TKA yet
But I have been leveling the same char as medic, as I want to Doc buff myself again lol! Not to mention at the same time as doing that on my desktop PC, my laptop has been running next to it with my Ent char leveling up as a dancer(will be muscian)/master ent kinda person lolI did TKA back in the day and I don't recall it being so difficult. Got Unarmed III and working my way to Unarmed IV in Brawler. I'm getting about 100xp a kill and need 70,000xp for the box. A lair takes ages because the critters hit hard and I have to replenish my h/a/m afterwards.
look for mission difficulties around 23 without buffs, 28/29 with buffs, and you'll find that most of the mobs on the lower end will not auto-agro you. So you can sit in front of them and nothing will happen.
Just pick them off 1 at a time, then hit the lair once, and then peace it, kill the 1 spawned mob, rinse and repeat until no more mobs spawn from the lair, then kill the lair
On Corelia, I was taking 2 missions and getting close to 10,000 xp each 2 missionsIn my experience getting TK Novice is a lot more soul destroying and seems slower than actually getting Tera Kasi Master.
As an Unarmed Brawler you do like no damage, even marksmen do more!
If you want an easier ride go Pistoleer. You'll get it really fast. Go for Fan Shot first. (Although TKA does more damage

Still going TKM lol, but once Novice TKA is earnt, then with the VK cert and a +70 Unarmed damage increase, the damage dealt changes dramatically! ... for the better

That's what I've been doing, but I don't think I'm getting anywhere near that level of xp.
While I've been out on Corelia, I have been mostly killing Dalyrake's for give or take 292xp each, maybe around 12-15mobs can't say I was counting, so it might have been a bit less that 10k xp per 2 missions, but it certainly shot up

Yeah, well I only seem capable of killing durnis, butterflies and the like.
got money for buffs? some doc's in the medi center in Corolag will buff for low prices, or just for tips - Go check them out
