Poll: Syrian Chemical Weapon Attack

Would you support a military strike on Syria without a UN Security Council resolution?

That the Licences were Military ones and all the assumptions you made on then nature of the exports based on that. With regards the MP's, the assumptions that the Chemicals were used by the Assad Regime, the assumption that the orders the licences referred to were fulfilled and if they were that they were knowingly approved under those assumptions.

I don't think they have assumed they've been used?

I will agree there isn't a lot of certain facts at the moment.

If they haven't then that's a good thing, but still questions have to be asked about the initial decisions in my view.

Pretty shocking stuff on the news right now. Apparantly Syria has used chemical weapons to attack Damascus. Reports are that over 650 people have been killed.

How can the other nations of the world just stand back and let this kinda thing go on? No government has the right to massacre its own people.

Where was the United Nations, USA, UK, France etc with Pol Pot, Mugabe, Apartheid, etc? Pol Pot is supposed to have killed 2 million of his own people. They do bugger all for 2 million Cambodians but 650 people in Syria get killed oh lets go to war. I am not mocking death and it is wrong those people got killed but the UN, USA, UK etc are hypocrites. Somewhere between 1 - 2 million innocent people have died in Iraq since the war started. Ordinary people like you and me. That's ok though because the yanks and the Brits are doing it (I know other countries are there). So it's ok for us to kill 1- 2 million people in Iraq. Assad allegedly kills 650 people and well we have to stop him. We have to attack Syria. It is so hypocritical. If you look on the web you can find videos where soldiers are killing Iraqi people for fun. They laugh and joke about the killings. It's sick.

Also so far we have no firm proof Assad has used Chemical weapons. Russia has provided forensic proof the rebels have used chemical weapons but our press forgets to tell us about that.

Well duh.... if their is new evidence that is 100% undeniably accurate and even Russia agrees then vote away. I don't think many people wouldn't support limited action if they were guilty.

I don't think we have many more of these "do the right thing" actions left in us though... the populous has had enough.

Hague and Osbourne have already said there won't be another vote. As Hague put it "Parliament has spoken".

And right he is. On that at least.

Hague and Osbourne have already said there won't be another vote.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Lord Howard, a former Conservative leader, Sir Malcolm Rifkind, a former Foreign Secretary, and Lord Ashdown, a former Liberal Democrat leader, led calls to vote again on Sunday.

Sir Malcolm, the chairman of the intelligence and security committee, said the situation has “moved on dramatically now” and that the (fabricated) evidence is “becoming more compelling every day”.

You can bet by the second vote they will have (fabricated) the evidence to get the yes vote.
