Poll: Syrian Chemical Weapon Attack

Would you support a military strike on Syria without a UN Security Council resolution?

I'll give you a reason why the rebels did it.

1. To get the west to fight the war they cannot win on their own.

I think that trumps all 5 of yours.

Now if you go by the May report from that UN officer she said she believes it was the rebels who used the chemical weapons in May...they have the means and know how.
Also attacking their own ? not exactly unheard of for muslims to attack/kill themselves or their own....reminds me of that line from C&C Generals where one of the terrorist units says 'i'll make the sacrifice'.

Working well isn't it?

Again I have to point out that Carla Del Ponte has a dubious history in international politics, I doubt she was speaking in any official capacity and even still she admitted that there was no conclusive evidence.

Oh I see, your reasoning for supporting the rebels is that it was in a plot of a computer game. That explains a lot about the quality of your posts.

Edit: yep, it's not easily visible with all the conspiracy carp on the 'net, but after Del Ponte's comments the UN commission she works for moved swiftly to distance itself from her comments lol.

Well it's slightly pre-empting the UN report but I think it's safe to say that chemical weapons were used, we can even say it was probably Sarin based on media footage. Since when do we know that the rebels posses chemical weapons?

To be blunt, let me know how you get on with your own chemical weapon bomb.

How do you know it was the rebels who fired on them? All I read was "unidentified snipers".

Not by any reasonable definition of logic.

agreed.

Ubersonic's argument is rather silly tbh

Working well ? they got usa and uk to go to their parliments requesting permission to do airstrikes on Assad so yea i think it went pretty well.

No i gave you a reason and said it reminded me of a line from a computer game...whats wrong with you lol.

The reason you gave was a gross generalisation and highlights astounding ignorance of the conflict - "dem mussies like like killing themselves, so dey must have dun it this time lol"

They are all muslims ? rebels ...Assads lot and the al nusfarat whatever they are called

Because the rebels have been caught in posession of them? by both Syrian and Turkish authorities. Also as Sarin has a short shelf life if it was indeed used it would have been made during this conflict, not stockpiled before wouldn't it?

I love how you counter facts with arrogance, well played :P but for reference go ahead and buy some hydrochloric acid based drain cleaner and some bleach from any supermarket then mix them together, if your right you will not flood the room your in with toxic chlorine gas.

*EDIT* Just so the is not doubt, the above is sarcasm, it WILL kill you.

Because they had a government escort following a predetermined route and were fired upon, wait sorry I forgot your having trouble with the whole "logic" thing.

Not by any reasonable definition of logic.

Well actually its a textbook example of logic, if it is more likely the rebels did it, I.E if the chance of probability is in that outcomes favour, then that is what we call the most logical conclusion (For ref, I am not saying they did it, just that it is more logical for it to have been them).

and why is that ?
i gave you a better reason than all your 5 put together...im doing just fine here

All scorza's good for is paraphrasing others wrongly and poor assessments of their motivations, not worth arguing with and hardly likely to persuade anyone on this board, just noise and smoke, is there an ignore feature on ocuk?

How many times has the US used false premises to start a war?

Hmm lets look at recent USA history. I cannot be bothered to look at all the past history.

They lied about Iraqi soldiers taking babies out of incubators. This was used as one of the main reasons for staring the gulf war.

They (and the UK) lied about Saddam having WMD to start the Iraq war.

They are now lying about things to start the Syria war. Update and they are helping rebels who as affiliated with Al-Qaeda This footage from May and June 2013 shows battalions from the "Free Syrian Army" (FSA) declaring their unification with al-Qaeda's Jabhat al-Nusra (Nusra Front) in the eastern Damascus suburb of Eastern Ghouta and in Aleppo, both strongholds of the anti-government militants. Although some instances have occurred where clashes between the two groups have taken place, for the most part, the FSA and al-Qaeda unite under the banner of Islamic monotheism. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9-f1ICqyrs
They lied about things for the Libya war.

There were loads of Al-Queda training camps in Afghanistan

Do you have links or proof of that?

According to the BBC documentary Al-Qaeda does not exist Osama Bin Laden only had a handful of men and not the world wide terror network we have been lead to believe.

Since Burnsy in his wisdom decided to close my other thread please have a look at this video and see for yourselves. Given the poll results I'm sure this will resonate with many of you

Oh world war 3 may happen? You conspiracy theorist. I am joking. I think this current Syria situation may well start WW3. If it doesn't start with Syria then it will start when they attack Iran.

Both Russia and China have warned not to attack Iran. Both Russia and China say attacking Iran will lead to WW3.

There's no explosion/impact because the sub missiles broke up in mid air to reveal James Bond on a rocket pack :D

I could call up Tesco/Iceland right now and have them export chemicals to my house that could be used to easily make chemical weapons, that's how absurd the news story on the UK-Syria sales is :P

Britain sold nerve gas chemicals to Syria 10 months after 'civil unrest' began

, the number of refugees from Syria is estimated to be 2m. Instead of being obsessed with looking like an international strong man, maybe Mr Putin would care to comment on the plight of these people. Thought not.

The number of ordinary Iraqi people like you and me that have been killed by the allied troops (UK, USA, France etc) is roughly 1.25 million. With more dying daily.

You fail to mention or acknowledge that.

Assad allegedly recently killed 650 people and it starts a war. We kill 1.25 million Iraqi people and that is ok though. We went to Iraq to spread democracy lol. The UK and USA are hypocrites.
