Would you support a military strike on Syria without a UN Security Council resolution?

Contrary to all the tinfoil hattery Obama seems to be looking for reasons NOT to get any more involved in all this. I know that doesn't fit with the cool antimainstream sheeple thing but...

except that WP can and has been argued as an instant smoke screen. which iirc it can do without being too great a risk to people/property.

exactly - so long as you're keeping an eye on wind direction and aren't silly enough to run through 'hot smoke' I don't see the drama

I had RP grenades when in a civilian area... they're there for a purpose - I think there might be a few meetings without coffee and awkward questions asked though if you decided that said smoke screen should be inside someone's house etc...

It's obviously a conspiracy theory as surely they wouldn't have given the nobel peace prize to a president who attacks other country's for whimsical reasons...

I think it's the rebel's IMO, just doesn't make sense for the Syrian government to use them but could be mistaken.

I just hope We don't get involved, what will Russia & Iran do if there is a western intervention?

Also Hague is a complete and utter **** for not even acknowledging it could be the rebels who are responsible.

Which countries has Obama attacked for whimsical reasons?

So the Syrian government is going to allow the inspectors to the site of question. So what happens *if* the inspectors go in and determine it wasn't the government, then what? I will be listening to Hague's reaction intently!

probably decide to help the terrorists to get the war over quickly to stop civilian casualties if the syrian army isn't capable of stopping them it self

We all know that's not going to happen. And as for hague his an idiot and will do anything to keep his job.

even the us news sites are full of comments from people who doubt assad did it CNN was good there were a bunch of people spamming comments about them removing any comments that were against military action lol

hagues been opening his big mouth again.

He should be forced to resign if it turns out the chemical attacks were al-Nusra Front attacking the other rebels.

there's already been loads of articles about the rebel in fighting over power and weapons such as this one that happened last month

The assassination of a leading commander of the Free Syrian Army by fighters allied with al-Qa’ida will further divide the rebels in Syria at a time a moment when they are struggling to deal with government forces offensives against opposition strongholds.

Kamal Hamami was killed on Thursday along with his brother at a checkpoint near Latakia in north-west Syria. The assassination was reportedly carried out by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, which has long been conducting a guerrilla war against the Iraqi government and fighting under the banner of the al-Nusra Front in Syria until earlier this year.

makes more sense than assad using them against the rebels.
terrorists get americas help and likely make a nice sharia state once assad is gone to breed more terrorists

I rather suspect that as Foreign Secretary of a major country Hague has a little more information to his hands than we do, even if we do have the all knowing foreign policy and intelligence expert arknor in our midst. That said from an uneducated position I find Hagues rhetoric concerning.

Edit:

Oh, that's old news from last time :V

But I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same again.

See how that news was buried and no one gave a damn. The western powers just want Assad out.

Didn't exactly have decent info with regards to Iraq and wmds.Just itching to lob few cruise missile's.I bet if concrete evidence was found to implicate rebels nothing would be done.

I don't doubt for one minute that he has more information, but can we be sure what he is being told is accurate. Remember the 45 minute claim?

Like you, his rhetoric is alarming, he seems to be intent on one path of action.
