T - Bone Steak

Par boil some small Charlotte potatoes then pan fry them with shallots/onion and maybe add a little tarragon at the last minute. And, as a side to your side, fry some mushrooms in butter with a little garlic.

French mustard!!! (better than english), some new potatoes, mushrooms, tomato and some green beans :D (pretty much my lunch before the trip back to Belfast this afternoon)

I'm not a very good cook, I like to cook as a hobby as I like to eat well, mainly steak tho.

Which isn't the hardest thing in the world, I just find it hard going out for a meal where I think I could cook this steak better, which is why I never order if from crap places/pubs.

Sauces and things I'm crap at and quite a few other things aswell, I can just cook a nice big steak to perfection for me :D

Decent baked potato with soured cream, cheese and bacon. Rub the potato with olive oil and salt before you bake it for a crispy skin.
Fresh made, deep fried onion rings, fluffy batter.
Sauted shallots and real pepper sauce made with double cream and then some good stilton crumbled on the steak.

A nice crunchy ceasar salad on the side with plenty of croutons too.

Thats the way i do a steak, I got hold of two 5 kilo buffalo steaks for 40 quid a while back, top notch stuff, butchered it all up and i've been living happy ever since, albeit fatter.
Just don't do what i've seen a mate of mine do, cook it to hell and smother it in brown sauce, that in my opinion should carry the death sentence.

Stupid question, but is that 1kg steaks, at £17 for the two? or £17 each, lol I've only ever eaten a 20oz steak, nevermind a 35 oz, lol.

Also let me know how it is and I might divert to that place one day on the way home from work.

Not sure, its either 2 steaks at 500g each or 2 steaks at 1kg each, either way im going to have fun eating it :D think my GF will struggle with it tho.

If you want T Bone you will have to ring up in advance as they will need to cut them for you as they are not normally sold in stock, iirc they do their butchering on a thursday so its best to ring up today (on the morning) to get them for a friday but the rest of the stuff they do is top notch :D

You've either got to go with a crispy backed potatoe with mountains of garlic butter, or loads of fried onions and mushrooms and steak cut chips.

I always enjoy satueed potatoes in slices as opposed to cubes, salted with a slight crunch to them. And then probably some greenery with some buttered shallots. = win
