another rom based on the 2.1 tmob hungry release, not sure which to install this or Modaco custom rom!
I've installed the vanilla custom rom from here http://android.modaco.com/content/t...daco-com/309811/pulse-2-1-oscillation-rom-r7/
The Expresso v2 framework from here http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile-pulse-pulse-modaco-com/309630/the-framework-factory/
Put on ADW launcher from here http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile-pulse-pulse-modaco-com/310393/adw-launcher/
And this is the result

I've got the 2.1 based Modaco Rom on, seems better than the standard one but getting acore force close messages quite often.

I got that with the MCR 2.1 rom as well whenever I turned my phone on.On the forums it said to just tap "wait"
That rom is a work in progress and not the full release yet.

Yeah I know, its just that I need something stable with a2sd+ as its not for me. I'll leave it a while and see if Paul or someone else can polish it up a bit.

I have found the Modaco rom quite unstable, the Oscillation and FLB Mod roms better (obviously this could change dependant on your device playing nice!)

I am experiencing all sorts of bugs with 2.1 android. I hope 2.2 is out soon.

Modaco now has a Vanilla 2.1 update from Sweden Tre network. I installed it on Friday and I it is the best 2.1 version yet. Runs very smooth and is branded with Huawei splashscreen and no network customisations. It picked up the T-mobile apn settings from my sim and connected immediately to sync with Google servers.

Give it a try, I restored to 1.5 using Huawei roll back update, installed T-mobile 1.5 December update and then installed Tre 2.1 update. Very pleased with the outcome.

I’m having problems with it hanging quite frequently and the alarm keeps playing silly buggers but other than that it a hug improvement over 1.6 so much faster.

Most people have problems with the pulse freezing on 2.1.
I think this is because the version most people have is based on the hungarian 2.1 update as there isn't a uk version out yet.

Mine is hacking me off over the music player. It is hit and miss to whether the touch screen registers and often the track plays for 2 secs before crashing back to desktop. At times I have been very close to throwing the phone on the floor, it really is THAT irritating with 2.1 on it.

Pulse users should try the FLB 1.0 release based on 2.1 which was released 9 days ago. It is very good and has appstosd scripts built in as long as you've partitioned the SD card properly. Using ADW.Launcher by default also helps to give it a polished feel. It is also very fast and stable.

This phone was definitely worth the £99-£149 its sold at.
