T-mobile Pulse - Android touch phone.

Cheers for that. When I get my pulse i'm gonna change the rom.I don't want any t-mobile stuff as i'm not on t-mobile.I looked through the thread on modaco and the fact it makes the phone faster seals the deal for me.

I'm tempted to try custom rom (especially the swapfile and apps to card appeal to me), but I just got my pulse to that sweet state when it's solid as my primary phone - fully customized, everything works with my O2 sim, I have locale scripts turning my bluetooths when I prep for work and turning off all the rubbish at night and everything works so well that I charged it last time on Saturday morning and after two and a half days of moderate use (four phone calls, three morning alarms, 10 sms', 2 hour journey with bluetooth on) I still have 80% charge..

I presume custom rom would wipe all that, right?

my battery predicament has improved as well.... I run ap killer after I finished using it now and the battery symbol has shown full for 24 hours with no charging, bit of gaming about two hours and some surfig and texting calls etc.... so gettinh happier with it now. hainf email and facebook running all the tme obviosly drains it quite baddly.

bullit

Well you can try a ROM without wiping, but I would suggest it. You can always create a restore image should it not to be to your taste. BUT I am using the custom ROM and it's much faster and not as pink

has anyone on payg checked their credit! I had £10 on Thursday when I got the phone, I now have £6 !!!!!

checked my usage on the t-mobile website and it's full of:
TMO Network Coupon 2101 QOS1000
some are free some aren't! something sending/receiving data every 15mins
gonna give them a call.

gonna give them a call.

And make yourself look totally stupid.

The phone checks for emails every 15 minutes and uses data. So £1 a day is the max charge. Buy an Internet booster for £5 a month and when you top up £10 you'll get free unlimited internet and unlimited texts starting from next month as long as you keep topping up a tenner a month.

Thursday: £1
Friday: £1
Saturday: £1
Sunday: £1

Look now and you balance will be £5 ;)

how will I make myself look stupid!

I asked sales when I purchased the phone if I would get free texts and interent and they said yes. never mentioned having to wait for 1 month to get it!

what I dont understand is why sometimes it's free and sometimes it isn't..

When you top up you get a text to say you will get it from next month onwards. You asked and they said yes, you will get it, in a month.

It's free sometimes because it is capped at £1.

Think that's a "feature" of Android in that it is designed to regularily check status etc with google services etc. My phone is doing the same.

Basically I think with Android PAYG you need to sign up for one of the "long term" web boosters (MONTHWEB or 6MONTHWEB) as the system assumes always on internet.

Careful, the new update causes you not to be able to root the phone. If you have any intention of using a custom ROM, I'd advise against it.
