** TABLET CLEARANCE JANUARY SALE: COMMENCES NOW!! **

Got a 32GB SD Card but how do I install apps onto it as it does not seem to give me an option of where the app is installed

You have to move them to the sd card once installed to the tablet. Use a third party program such as link2sd. I assume you've rooted the tablet?

Don't know how to root it, but is the tab not designed that it can install things on the SD card without doing that if not, what is the point in buying it as it says on the description Storage: 8GB NAND Flash (Upgradable to 32GB /w SD Card) so the SD card is just an extension of the NAND and once full does the SD card not take over

This tablet doesn't let you do that. it's a pain I know, but if you go back a few posts you'll see I posted a link that explains how to root this tablet.
It's pretty easy TBH & does allow you to move apps over to the SD card & it makes the tablet a whole lot more useful.

Not when I used it it didn't... keep in mind some anti virus software will flag some things as a virus even when they are not ie a false positive...It's not a Virus lol

Got it at last so is there any way to make all apps install onto the SD card by default as they seem to be installing onto the NAND flash even know the SD card is meant to be an extension of NAND but still shows 5.7GB free and the 32GB SD card still nothing on it

That link does indeed contain an active virus. It installs Firefox extensions that will load up other malware sites in the background among other things. Mods please delete that post which contains the link to xda - the post within it goes to a file with the correct name but the zip file itself has been hijacked with malware.

I've deleted the link in my post, however I need the mods to remove the quote below.

So now, after the removal of the link, does anyone have any solution on the problem ? Or can we use the third party program(link2sd) to move apps to sdcard without using the script first? what does it mean "rooted tablet" anyway ?
Sorry for noob questions, not used to tablets u know :p

Persuaded the missus to let me "play" with the tablet for a couple of days to see if things improved, and with robzere31's link (F-Secure AV didn't have a problem with the link and software...), got it rooted. Link2SD to move any installed apps straight away to keep the memory usable and she's now happy with it.

Solved the wifi always dropping (and staying off) by not updating the core apps after a factory reset. No idea why updating seemed to disable it but I chucked F-Secure Safe on the tablet seeing as she was going to use outdated apps.

Other than the battery life and juggling the memory, it's usable. The missus only wants it for a few little games, facebook and browsing so no need to return it now.:)

the tablet i bought doesn't seem to be charging anymore
and i'm unable to switch it on looks like i got unlucky and got a lemon

battery life is very poor tbh, was 4 hours the first few days we used it, now it can be 3 hours or less, so i think it's either a bad battery or faulty charger, will keep an eye on it as warranty is only 30 days :(

3 hours is normal for that tablet check posts of people who owned them when they were first advertised on this site

It seems they degrade fast. Mine did one boot up and a bit of charging before refusing to power on. Maybe they have really badly graded inbuilt storage with only a few mb/s of writes left?

Even if mine was perfect today I would still return under DSR as it will surely fail within 2 months if not 1.
