Tabletop Warhammer?

I'll second that, great nippers. They've got that kind of name that makes you think they're just another Chinese keyboard-mash name company, but I've actually got loads of hobby stuff from them and it's all really good. Their boxes of sanding sponges are great.

Only about fiver more to than my Tamiya cost.
Gonna start assembling some of the red corsair stuff today, but not the terminators or legionaries as I have those already.

My Gallowtomb terrain has been fully painted for a bit now and we've had a couple of games on it. Looks good IMO and it's really nice and tactile.

All set up for tomorrow's games, will try and get some moody pics mid-game.

That looks Great! where are the the action shots of the game?

Ah no. My guy I usually do my warhammer pre-orders with told me that he's only getting 5 of the 20 legio custodes boxes he's ordered.

Guess who's number 6 on the list, so I guess I'm going to have to go and do the 10 pre-order rush

Humans just don’t do anything for me in this setting.

Spent the weekend building even though I hadn’t planned to.
10x Raiders, 2x Forge Fiends, Huron and friends, Haarken world claimer.

A depressing amount of sub assemblies.

Stage one of my Warganizer Workshop all printed and complete.

I was in the ame boat of thinking humans wernt cool in the setting but have grown into the love of the astra militarum from the Books.

Kreig and the Guard are also some of the coolest table top armies with all the various tanks, units and large cannons. They just look dope as hell.

My god the design team at GW are obviously trying their best at zero effort.

' hey let's just grab a Saladin and half-track and Voila...'

Abysmal.

Well, finally, after picking up Leviathan on release day, and having painted none of my army as yet, I FINALLY got my first 1k game in last weekend.
Got absolutely battered, as my opponent bought 3 Leman Russ variants to a 1k game, which I just didn't have the tools to deal with, but I learnt a lot, as well as have started to adjust my thinking from the old ways.

I did manage to teach him fear of Deathwing Knights though... (his tanks literally T1'd my dreadnought, but all 3 tanks and a 20+ man squad of dudes, including some heavy weaponry, couldn't bring the DWKs and Chaplain down with a round of focused firing, the Knight Master and Termy chaplain made it into combat with his squad, and blendered 10 of the men immediately). The concept of 3 of those squads made him really stop to think; especially if I'd brought the more anti-tank mace loadout rather than swords.

I completely forgot about doctrines, oath of moment, and some CP Strategems for half the game too. Now if I could get my dice to not be laughably awful, that would also help.

It begins...

Looking forward to the changes for new edition. Sounds a bit less ‘killy’ which will stop the first turn nonsense that can happen.

That walking castle thing for AOS looks great, might get one just for display.

I'll wait and see. The fact they've already said 10th edition codexes (FAQs aside) aren't going out the window is a very good move in my mind; people always complained in the past about codexes being invalidated too soon, and this sounds like maybe a way of compromising on that; and much fairer to people who's codex came later.
