Friend and I are picking up a new army each. I’m going back to my childhood roots (a worryingly long time ago) and getting Ultramarines, he’s going Tau potentially or Necron, hasn't decided yet. Not a huge change from me, as I have Custodes already but I like the Space Marine gameplay styles.
Got quite a few models on order, looking forward to getting stuck in again.

Looks like Firestorm Games have it in stock![]()
Sounds like a planI'm just going to leave the order because I'm not really in a rush for it.
On a plus the pro acryl white blue works in my airbrush fine and I have now done the next stage on all of my remaining EC models

Managed to get my Infinity and GE paints sold now I can order the Space Wolves refresh without feeling guilty!!![]()

.I always thought the best way with decals is to gloss varnish the area first, as it gives a much smoother surface to conform to. It would hopefully protect it too.
Think I saw this in the Forge World book about 20 years ago, with a lot of techniques borrowed from scale modelling. Wish I still had that book.
I always use Micro Set and Micro Sol to put decals on, never had that problem at all straight onto paint or varnish.Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm going to confirm it soon because I'm going to do one with a different make of varnish and also satin and see.
So far the gloss varnish is the only difference I can think of out of any of my other models that never had the problem.

Only real hobby supplies I haven't sought an upgrade on. The pair was like gold dust during the plagueI always use Micro Set and Micro Sol to put decals on, never had that problem at all straight onto paint or varnish.
