Tabletop Warhammer?

Will give that a go thanks. Does my head in lol.

Really like the bluey grey tone of those nids.
Thanks, they were primed white, first coat was a 2:1 mix of Space Wolves Grey contrast & lahmian medium, second coat was a 1:1 mix of Tyran Blue shade paint and lahmian medium, finished off with a drybrush of Fenrisian Grey.

Thought I would do a small one first before I paint the 5 Raveners using the same scheme ;)

A couple of good deals here on Hatchett Magazine, Terrain Pack for £80 (cheapest I could find was £150) and the Chief Librarian Tigurius for £14.99

Surprised as magazines are usually a rip off

Looking pretty awesome. I'm intending to take the easier route and just slap Vallejo textures on the bases, as it also helps cover up the bottom of the feet of the models incase I catch the bases etc :)

One recommendation I saw was going red like you have, and then applying 'blobbed' dark texture paint over the top to give a cracked lava like effect.

Vallejo Dark Earth texture or similar would probably work great on top for that.

Sure you're not modelling the Doom Slayer? :D

That was just the AK line of Diorama lines with Liquid pigments. Trying to make the process as simple and quick with the extra wee bit of umph. There not much you can do on 28 or 30mm bases and don't want every model sitting on a mountain of cork. Little bit of dry pigment around the feet also ties the model to the base.

Going to see if I can find decent base putty so I can add extra depth without resorting to cork all the time.

@Bigpig I watched that last night and although I have the small RRG wet pallet v2, I love the art work on this new Squidmar one. It will be interesting to see what the clippers are like. Also be interested to know what the synthetic brush hair is.

Got AC sorted now (and cooler going forward) so should be able to get back in the swing of things. Think I want to progress my cerastus knight which has been ready for painting for a while but I was waiting on a weathering effect (engine oil) which I now have so can crack on.

I don't think I want to try and magnetise the Ruinator kit, I think it will make me happier to have one Ruinator (with magnetised options), and then a separate Knight for the other variants, this pretty much boils down to the Ruinator has missiles where the other 3 have a gun. Then again, knights look cool so maybe more.. I messed up the magnets on my wardogs as they have different orientations which means I end up trying 3 variations of a weapon before I find the one that aligns lol. I should paint them in a way to differentiate but then it's not like I swap them about much.

@dcsarge it is the older verson of the Redgrass pallet but you get the new foam and sheets. I always thought the smaller ones would suit me but the studio XL is amazing so much space. Game changer. I definitely be up for the clippers if they look cool hah.

@roman59 Even with just white primer he’s looks like a Giga Chad!! Pits the other Chaptermasters to shame.

Tried out Biostrip on Haldor. Really really like it and a lot more pleasant than using IPA.

How do you think it's pleasant considering it's goopy and messy, where as IPA just pop something in a jar and take it out. Only thing that was better about it was it doesn't smell as much but the rest of it was just way more hassle, It also couldn't remove army painter pixie pink primer.
