Tabletop Warhammer?

Did that with a full pot of flesh tearers red contrast last week. Fuuuuuuuuuu didnt begin to cover the emotion.

Was having a look through my collection of paints to paint some cool grey fur and just realised I sold them most of them hah.

GW had some nice off whites like Ulthan grey. So instead of ordering it again o used my logic to buy the full triads of Army painter blacks and grey and warm whites!!

Sorted

Surprised someone with as much paint as you doesn’t already have that covered. Best equivalent to Ulthuan grey I have is the Pro Acryll Vincent venturella signature white blue.

I see they have also launched a contrast equivalent but it doesn’t work quite the same as regular ones from the video I saw.

I like the cult of paint set purely for naming all the colours after food, means you can tell roughly what a paint will be by name.

Despite being into my third or fourth year, I still don’t feel I know how to use my wet palette properly lol. Always seems to end up too watery as I introduce more water just from dipping brush (and soaking excess on a damp cloth). On a plus, gave airbrush a deep clean and it worked again so that saved me a bit.

Finding getting consistent results on my red corsairs harder than the imperial fists but also not being too bothered by non uniformity. I’ve still not figured out a repeatable way to do the night Lords I’m honestly wondering if I’ll ever get them done.

Was surprised myself as I bought all the AK paint that was in white box separately. For Pro Acryyll I have a few of their warm greys and ivory’s. The Vallejo game colour has big jumps in the triads like TTC’s.

ahh well give me an excuse to try out the Fantic normal paints which should be similar to the GW off whites and greys. Also having some more Satin paints is nice.

I’m going to sell my Houndpack box, I only got it for two Wardogs but I’m unlikely to ever play that 7 dog detachment.
Problem is whenever I advertise this stuff and say no posting I get a hundred messages asking if I’ll post and that makes me lose the will to live lol.

Looking good :)

Kinda wanted that Killteam box set but glad it’s sold out!! :D

Had a bit of a bit of a nightmare yesterday. Got the airbrush out for the first time in about 3 months to paint a cloak! Ended up drowning the model in watery paint after the noozle getting the quickest dry tip I’ve ever seen and getting air blowing back into the cup!!

Think it all stemmed from trying to mix in the cup!!

BTW does anyone use MR hobby finisher primers?

Played Chaos Knights vs Tau yesterday. I won but didn’t enjoy the game and nor did my opponent. I think I’ll resign the knights to display models because I always suspected they were boring before I’d even used them.

Wouldn’t bother me if they removed them from the game entirely lol.

Boring how? Chaos knights seem fun! Shooty, stabby, runny, fall downy

Not really tactical, just lots of guns. If your opponent doesn’t have enough anti tank it’s a walk in the park. If they do then you’re in for a rough time potentially.
Also pain in the ass to move around terrain heavy boards.

They are so 1 dimentional right now its just dull.

Dont think ive lost a competitive game against knights in the last 6 months, the strategy is always exactly the same.

IMHO they need to make it so for every X points of knights you have to have Y points of supporting corps, something to mix it up from the same 3 lists over and over.
