Taking the dashboard button out of 360 pad

Yeah but you don't need to fiddle with any of them to play games. (aside from player accounts which a fool could work out)

The pads turn on just the same if you hold the start button instead. They'll also turn the console on if everything is off, just like using the dashboard button. Give it a try!

That really annoys me, as in the leaflet you get with the controllers it clearly states that holding start should turn on ONLY the pad, which would be awesome if it actually did >.<

Think of the countless uses the button on the controller gives, like when low on battery it gives you the amazing light show that lowers its battery life even more

Just tried the holding in start button and it works(I don't think anyone saw this - but I was wrong ), so it could be worth trying to disable the button.

Perhaps there's a market for some sort of plastic device that attaches to the pad, covering the Xbox button? Maybe you screw it into the bottom of the pad, making it difficult for a child to remove.

Sorry if I'm being stupid here, but why would you want to turn on just the pad without the console?

Comparing a 360/PS3 to even a Xbox/PS2 its more complex than ever before.
