Normal movie prices are £7.95 for an Adult ticket at our cinema, so like you say around double the cost.

Further to add to this, my friend who is a policeman and he can get a discount for the cinema with codes, he says the code doesn't work for this.

I am wondering if Limitless worked for this either...I doubt it, so essentially you had to pay full price to see this.

Pretty sure it’s because Taylor has set the price directly with the cinema, so no wiggle room on what they charge or any discounts.

Completely agree it was good business for her though.
 
I get that Taylor Swift is talented, but I still don't get why people are making such a fuss about her. It's almost at the same magnitude as Michael Jackson when he was labelled King of Pop in the early 1990s.

I've seen Mamma Mia which is a tribute film to ABBA and Bohemian Rhapsody which is a docu-musical about Queen.

As for Spinal Tap? Never seen it at the flicks but I'll take it with both hands if it ever crops up!
 
The Beyonce concert film comes out next week....I think it will make less money though, unless she controls the ticket prices like Taylor did.

I saw the price and had to sit down….it makes the cinema ticket feel good value in comparison! I guess they take into account people will invite their friends together to watch it but it is far and away … 3x, 4x over a normal rental price, I had to double check it’s not the purchase price!
 
Clever lady $19.89. got to hand it to her. By negotiating herself she gets better money for the cinema and digital release than any normal Hollywood production .

A lot of fans will think "ah cute it's priced after her birthday and album name" and pay it.
