Tempest Rising - a new Command & Conquer for 2023

That's 7pm GMT. Get ready guys!

The only thing that has me slightly worried with this game is the speed. I much prefer the sort of speed from early C&C games or SupCom where things moved like they should. The later C&C games and some of these snippet videos show things whizzing around and I think it kills the immersion. Not too bothered if buildings pop up straight away but moving units shouldn't feel like moving dodgems gliding over an ice surface. If that makes sense.

The live stream mentioned a playable preview (I assume this means a demo?) is available on Steam, couldn't find anything yet though.

Command & Conquer 3 still works just fine.
It feels very close to C&C3 to play, but with the graphics obviously brought upto 2023 standards. The soundtrack absolutely slaps as well.

There are still niggles but it looks like they can be fixed - the sound mixing on the briefing was all over the place, I had to turn it right up to make out what was said, and even then the sound was out of sync with the video. Naturally performance is a bit inconsistent as well, running a 6600XT i'm getting anything from 10-100fps depending on how the engine is feeling. No doubt performance polishing will be one of the last things to do before release though.

Overall, i'm really hyped, and would recommend any RTS fan to jump onto the "preview" and give it a try.

In-frikkin-credible.

This is the command and conquer of old we have all been waiting for.

Gameplay is smooth and fluid, a few visual issues here and there and the interface feels a little slow, but nothing that likely wont be resolved with solid feedback to the devs.

Ahh man, I'm not gonna pay for early access, but i really wanna play this
