Temu

Yes, they where able to provide proof no tracking had ever been made.
Look on reviews for the site, it seems to be a popular scam from them.

And look at reviews for Royal Mail?

1.9 average across 120k reviews.

I'm by no means saying AliExpress are perfect, but I'm trying to point out to you that just because the courier in your instance claimed they never had an item doesn't guarantee it was the retailers fault. RM do not exactly have a good track record to suggest they can be implicitly trusted.

Right, whats that got to do with what happened with me and other reported buyers?
******* weird how many here are so defensive of them.

What's it got to do with the site though? That happens on eBay as well, it's just scummy people being scummy.

I suppose they don't make it easy to get money back? Claim through bank and use CC.

I ordered once from temu,
- trainers
- led lights
- dust cloth

About £11 total delivered. The shoes were so cheap, half decent soft soles, and for the price I'm totally satisfied.

I figure that they lure you in with a first purchase being super cheapo then raise it for the second order which I haven't made.

The vouchers and gambling style, pick the lucky egg and win cash. Haha they got it sussed to hook people on it I bet.

Bout £5 last August and I use em as a spare pair of trainers sometimes,

Edit: I don't really care for fashion, I know some people wouldn't be seen dead in these.

Feels a bit wrong the way they extort the cheap labour over there.

Their 'leather' jackets look, well the price looks wrong.

not used temu - it gives me eye aids - but have used aliexpress quite a bit. would rather not but when they are selling the same thing as amazon.co.uk or other uk websites but for a fraction of the price it's hard to not buy direct (and lets be honest that's what we're doing - going direct rather than buying from a uk website or bricks and mortar store)
it's quite rage inducing that somethings that uk sellers won't ship to Northern Ireland are available for free delivery from Aliexpress......so they can send me an item from the other side of the world with no postage costs but some companies in the UK can't even ship the same product to NI.....hmmm

the postmen are 10/10

the other delivery guys competing with courier firms are as bad as the rest if you live somewhere even a tiny bit difficult to find or gain access too.
like reading instructions on an intercom is too much effort even if its one line of text.

thats probably where most of those bad reviews come from

I use it loads, never had an issue. Unlike Ali express. I do it on desktop browser though, I don't have the app. It's about a 5 day turnaround to get to Australia, although I believe we benefit from a trade agreement here that others don't. Some of the stuff when it arrives is a load of rubbish and goes straight in the bin but you pay for what you get.
The amount of plastic they use in packaging is bad though, everything is triple wrapped yet being a tiny percentage of the worlds population here we have to use soggy paper straws and paper bags that fall to bits to carry groceries in to save the planet but I guess that's a whole different thread...

I have a similar pair of shoes from aliexpress that I got 2 years ago. The bottom part is less obnoxious though just looks like black slipons really (to me at least) Haha but basically the same shoe.
Still going strong daily worn, bottom is showings wear but comfy as hell to walk in.

I for one couldn't give a toss about fashion I wear black shorts and tshirt everywhere.

Can't bring myself to use temu but am always using AliExpress. Have used DH gate once or twice as well but postage on there seems to take ages now that most stuff on AliExpress comes in a week

Also never used Temu but use Aliexpress a lot, not the phone app though just on the computer. Even Amazons phone app is full of ads now so I don't use that either.

What I ordered:

What turned up:

The mangetic bit holder is magnetic in name only, the strength is hilariously weak. I'll be adding a few neodynium magnets to it to toughen it up.

The foam pads are definitely not what I was after, however as nice comfy knee pads whilst working on the bike, they're absolutely spot on, and a pleasant mistake to make.

The magnetic extention pen thingy is decent enough. Also not that strong but as it'll likely only be used for removing and installing shims in an engine head, I can't really complain. I could also stick another neodynium to that too, I have tons of them lying around.

The lamp is much, much smaller than what the app shows, but that was to be expected.

I've not opened the socket set or bag yet, will report back once I've had a proper play.

All in all I'd say it's exactly what I paid for, including the "free" gifts.

According to Temu, I "saved" £216. If there's over £50 in stuff here I'll need to start selling stuff myself, bloody hilarious :D

Said it bfore and say it again. ordered items from ALi express, never turned up, even Royal Mail looked into it for me and determined they used fake tracking info and fake photo for rpoof of delivery (using the same fake photo each time on four items), would never use them again. Even with all of this info getting my money back was nightmare fuel with Aly Express as they jsut never wanto admit it was in fact a scam from multiple sellers. I see TEMU as the exact same thing.
I know many have used them with sucess, but I wouldnt trust them again.

if I'm trying to buy something which is no doubt made in china anyway like USB cables or whatnot, I always check ebay price then aliexpress, ali is usually cheaper by about 30%, sometimes more
everything I've ordered has been delivered bar one item and I got my refund as easily as from ebay

yes there probably are some scammers on there, just like ebay, but these days ali have a pretty robust system for reporting problems

I actually ordered a new hard drive from ebay earlier this week (thinking not to trust ali for a £50+ item) and when it arrived the Evri postage sticker said aliexpress on it

The state of this

Yes, this is exactly how I opened it. The sockets are all over the place, missing, and are horrendous quality. Like christmas cracker quality. The rachet is missing parts and doesn't work. According to the "free gift" nonsense, this was somethnig like £100 worth a socket set. Turns out, it's actually a *whopping* £4.99:

Don't get me wrong, I knew exactly what I was getting myself in to by sending them some money, but suffice to say that everything they say is absolute nonsense and the stuff they've sent me is woeful.

Ah well, that concludes my Temu shopping for the rest of my life :p

Requested a return on the socket set, uploaded a photo, and got an instant respose "ye we're giving you £13.64 credit lol"

Can't get cash as it was a "free gift".

This is very clearly baked in to their business model, which by and large, is absolute nonseonse.
